slave

Its about it being different in general, it allows me to do what my heart wants without worrying about the all too nilla world around me who will only know it means what i tell them it does.

OK, fair enough. I take it you mean different for you as it seems many pyl's (and some non BDSM people) are favouring tattoos featuring Japanese or Chinese characters. Was just curious, no offence intended.:rose:

too much 'splainin to do when it is right out in the open. im thinking ppl wont ask as much if they see it partially sticking out...i might be wrong though.

I was thinking high on the thigh, like parallel to the middle of your ass cheek.

But yeah, people do have some issues with tattoos, especially when you try to project a professional outlook. So I completely understand wanting to hide it.

The more i think the more i like that spot as well. But since i dont get final say im gonna just hope the daddies agree lol. I think they are gonna want just slave girl but im still gonna try to sway them to let me do daddys slave girl

Be extremely careful, you don't want to think you're getting "Daddy's slave girl" and actually get "I welcome ants at my picnic" instead. It happens far too often!

as long as Ants are polite enough to bring food along to the potluck, I say let them come! :p

It's the one place I've thought about putting one. It would be easy to hide in every day and yet a dress with a super high slit would give an unexpected surprise. :D

That or bite marks on my inner thigh. *nods*

lol that would be my luck. Rida took care of the letters for me and everyone trusts her so im gonna go with what she sent me

If I may, I personally hope you'll go with the "slave girl" option, as the "daddy's slave girl" does not have the right nuance with the Japanese characters as in English (the 父 kanji is father, rather than daddy. パパ "papa" or お父さん would be the closest to daddy, but it would gets way too long ...).

Taken care of it! :rose:

See, the problem with ants is they poop on the food. I'm totally okay with their presence, but they like to walk on the food, and then poop on it.

KC, glad you were working with rida behind the scenes! Can't wait to see the eventual pictures!

Heh, that's the spot I've chosen for mine, which will come when I get to my goal weight. It was the first thing that came to mind when we started talking about it, and I haven't budged since. It appeals to me, moreso than anywhere else.

That's where my strike-brand is and I especially love that spot now that I don't want to show it off...

Branding realy. damn that's a lot more perminant than a tatoo.
Well you better be damn sure he's the one and then some.

Question why Chiness, so no one will understand it?

Which brings up a story that has been mentioned before.
My best friend goes to Chinia all the time, so he is a bar and my friend asks his American salemen what his chiness charitar tatoo stands for and he's say's "what ever" and his Chiness friend kind of laughs.
So my friend asks him why he laughed and the guy says that charitar/symbol means absolutly nothing.

But then again does it matter.
It just matters what it means to you right.

I would like to just clear the air. I am not doing this for any other reason then I feel like decorating myself. It does not show devotion love or loyalties to my daddies, I do that every day.
It is not going to negetivly impact my life.
I am using kanji because it is beautiful and sadly i dont have a clue how to resize the bitmap to show you all what i am chosing.
Why in a different language...one i dont understand?
If you knew my everyday life you would understand and i dont need to understand a language to know the symbols mean that in my heart i am a slave.

That said... Im not sure that a branding is going to work for this. waiting to hear from the tat guy.

OK so Daddy #1 gave his choice on saturday.
He didnt like the look of daddys slave girl so he wants slave girl alone...he didnt pick a spot. I dont think it is going to be a brand because it may not show as clearly if it is... but thats the first step into my permanent marking

Yeah, I was thinking kanji might be hard to show on a brand, unless it was HUGE. Scarification could do it, I've seen some very fancy, finely detailed scarifications. Or tattoos, of course.

I want a white ink tattoo. Of what, I don't know. But I like them because they sorta look like healed brands, but they allow you to have a lot more detail in the design. :)

I want a white ink tattoo too! This on my right wrist. (Ignore the oddity on the right, this was a necklace.) But my favorite tattoo artist is NOT keen on doing white ink, he thinks it's not good because it discolors over time, etc. I'm not sure if I should try to convince him to do it in white, let him do it in another very faint color, or go to someone else.

White sounds interesting.

I did some googling and I really like the look of the white tattoo.

I think I'd like a branding better, but the white does look really cool.

Having done some more thinking on this, and with rida helping me out too (and now a public acknowledgement of her awesomeness) I understand the different language thing much more.

There's emotions/concepts/ideals/values that can mean the world to a person, but cannot be adequately expressed in English.

Though it doesn't really seem that Japanese is the right language either, as there are things that will apparently be lost in translation... like a positive or neutral connotation, putting a possessive or gender on it...

Kajira, have you ever thought of coming up with your own cypher? It's even more personal (and potentially exotic) than someone else's writing system. ;) Depending on where you live, a large number of people might be able to read your marking anyways, too.

Re: words/concept that sometime cannot be expressed in one language.

I speak fluently 3 languages, and I can say that are indeed cases where one language is short on words to express a certain concept. And at the same time, there are others in which it is impossible to get a direct translation.

For instance, Lizzie's concept had a better word in Japanese than english, while Callista's "daddy's slave girl" was basically impossible to express in Japanese without writing a long sentence. The "slave girl" got more of a connotation of "concubine" but, I hope/believe, it was still close enough.

I really cannot give advice on the Kanji letters as it is not something I am familiar with. However my Sister had Kanji tattooed on her wrist in the symbols for "brother" With a twist made on them so depending on how you looked at it it reads "younger brother" or "older brother." She had it done that way to remember our older brother who we never got to meet as he died before we were born, and then for our little brother who lives now on the other side of the state, and growing up she was close to him.

One word of advice however - be sure to get it done at a very reputable tattoo parlor. I've seen some horror story tattoos before because someone decided to go to a hole in the wall parlor. Let's not forget either about cleanliness. If the place looks filthy inside - walk out. They're using needles on you so things better be clean.
