Seriously- I was dating someone a few years ago who sometimes let those words slip out with me. I really liked it. I guess he used it with other women he dated but since I was a "white girl", he tried to hold back from using them wth me.

What ones do you like?

I hate both of those, and refuse to take seriously any person who uses them.

Of course, in 10 years I'll probably be using them, since right now I use words like "gnarly" and "grody" a lot simply for comic effect.

Well, that last part is true.

I don't know, they just sound goofy. I've used "Shorty" as a general nickname to a kid, but never in a sentence like "My boo took her shorty to the zoo."

I don't like "bling bling," either.

I don't keep track of the latest slang trends, but my last GF's term of affection was "Boodoo", and mine was "Boo." She even had it tattooed on her shoulder next to a butterfly. It's our term for each other even now. Anything associated with people that want the "ghetto" label assigned to them is beyond my sphere of understanding.
