slam feedback

I've been here at lit for a few months. I've received postive constructive feedback on my stories and my poetry. Though most of the feedback I get is from other writers, I feel those I value the most and I thank all that have shared their wisdom with me.

Today I've received my first slam-type feed back. ;) I'll keep it to read later when I'm feeling like I know something. Bah... Just one reader's comments.. but damn, it stings.

Does anyone keep feedback for masochistic reasons?

I keep all my feedback *S* I am lucky, i've not had any negative feedback as yet, but i think i'd keep negative feedback too. I'm a harder, i find it hard to part with anything*L* especially if i can convince myself it might be useful sometime in the future*L*

The only feedback I keep are the ones in which people have offered truly constructive criticism. These have usually been from other writers who are much more skilled than I, and I value their words. I go back and read through them periodically to keep their advice in mind.

All other feedback I keep until I respond to it (if I can). Some of the feedback I get from close friends I keep. If I kept all my feedback I would be in trouble! It's not that important to keep on my hard drive, so my mailbox would fill up too quickly!

I have had good feedback and a few slammers. :)

I reply to the feedback if there is an email addy.
But no I don't usually keep them.
(Except for the marriage proposal and the person
who sent me some cool poems. :D )
