I don't understand why he would start a thread about his honesty and not be honest in that very thread.

I love that he says he's never lied on here and when you bring up the cousin/uncle thing he just says "you knew it was me."

Scott has been known to lie from page to page in the same thread. He doesn't understand the concept of honesty.

It's not the lying. It's his uncanny ability to say the exact wrong thing at the exact wrong moment and have absolutely no idea that he's done it.

I mean, that must take practice.

Not that I feel any particular desire to defend Scott, but it is possible that he has an MA in English from their joint-campus grad program and that his thesis--and therefore his concentration--was in English Lit. He may refer to it as a masters in english lit when in fact technically on paper it's an MA in English. My ex claims to have a masters degree in "feminist epistemology and young womens' development" from Harvard, but because of the vagaries of the university and politics, it is on paper an M.Ed. My bachelor's degree is similar; I have a BA in English, but my concentration was in writing. Sometimes I say I have a degree in English, sometimes I say I have a degree in writing. Both are true.

Would the English and Modern Languages Dept be the same as the English Masters program? Because they are located specifically on the Troy, NY campus.

http://www.sage.edu/academics/schoolofartsandsciences/englishandmodernlanguages/index.php
The Modern Languages program operates three residential language centers as part of its teaching and co-curricular missions to Russell Sage College. Three Victorian brownstones on the Troy Campus, La Casa Espanola, La Maison Francaise, and Das Deutches Haus, have supported the multicultural development of more than three generations of Sage alumnae in all majors.
The three "residential language centers" mentioned here I wouldn't necessarily take to be the whole of the English and Modern Languages department. Aside from that, I don't see anything that says it's exclusive to the Troy campus, and I would doubt that it is, because that campus, at least as far as undergraduates are concerned, is for women only.

oh boy.

...Maybe scotty's lying about "his" gender too...

Cripes, go big or go home!!!

If you're going to lie, lie about going to medical school, or some SEC Master's program, or something other than wanker Sage, Rosemary and Thyme college in Bumblefuck NY that no one's heard of.

Geez, fucker can't even lie properly.

Does the fact that he is using Sage Graduate School for his lie strike anyone else as somewhat ironic? :D

I think so; he's always claiming to be a man. And we all know that's horseshit. :D

If he's saying he got a BA in English from Sage College, he may be hiding his gender from Lit, or he may have hid his gender from the college. Looking more closely, it appears that the degrees offered under the English and Modern Languages department are each specific to a particular campus.

SCA (Sage College Albany) offers a BS in Creative Studies, and two AA degrees: Individual & Professional Studies, and Liberal Arts.

RSC (Russel Sage College, in Troy) offers two BA degrees: English and Spanish.

SAW is listed as providing a BS in Liberal Studies, but I don't know what SAW is an acronym for.

Sage Adult Workshop. Its a nice way of saying "night school".

Jeezus, you people really need to get some hobbies. You spend way too much time researching shit that has no bearing upon anything.

Lit is a hobby of sorts.

Does it ever occur to you that perhaps you should be tending your own little garden and not trying to decide for other people what their hobbies should be?

Tending gardens is a fantastic hobby!

Be sure to check in with progress reports from time to time...

You just want to smell my daisies.

BTW, I think that I have every right to tell people to get some different hobbies when they are obsessing over my fiance's personal life.

Perhaps if your 'fiance' hadn't spilled his make believe personal life all over the board, others wouldn't have the desire to poke and make fun of him.
You do realize that your coming to his rescue just encourages it, right?

This is by far the most pathetic attempt at whatever Scott is attempting to do here, that i have ever seen on Lit.

Holy crap. I surrender. This is beyond sad.
