I have been having a bad month. Hopefully turning the corner and getting back to better times.

A new photo series - Cooking in the Kitchen. I start this off with a couple of pictures, to gauge the temperature of the reception. ;)

First start with putting on an apron.

The menu for the holiday feast is:
- Turkey with cornbread stuffing and giblet gravy
- mashed potatoes (yes, I am a stuffing AND potatoes type of guy)
- steamed fresh green beans
- spring greens salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing
- roasted pecans
- stuffed celery sticks
- cranberry sauce
- yeast rolls (with REAL butter)

Come in and have a seat. May I interest you in a glass of wine? Maybe a light, dry Pinot Grigio? Pairs really well with turkey.
 
Stuffing the bird....you know what I wanna say don't you. I won't say it. But I am thinking it.
Damn that bird is lucky.

Uh, tomorrow is Texas Independence Day. Yes! We can celebrate that. :D

How many know that the Republic of Texas was an independent nation from March 2, 1836, to February 19, 1846??
