Silly question... condoms

Okay, this makes me seem like a dunce but I've got a question about condoms. Since I'm breastfeeding our son, I can't use the pill because it interferes with milk supply so my husband and I have been using condoms. He, of course, prefers it if I put them on him, but I'm a hopeless, uncoordinated silly person and always have issues. Is there a smooth, suave, sexy way to put one on him? Without using my mouth, the taste of latex is just blecch! Please don't laugh at me too much, and thanks for the help! :D

Perhaps a woman would be best to answer, I don't know. The reason I say this is it may be different putting one on someone else.

From my perspective. I can slide one over myself easily.
First ensure it is the right way round and will unravel easily then sit it on the top of his cock. Grap his cock in one hand to hold firm whilst using your thumb and fingers of your free hand to roll the rubber down his shaft. When it's a fair bit down, use both hands to slide from tip of cock down to base.

You should be able to do it one-handed with a bit of practice. That frees up the other hand to distract him with so he's not paying attention to you putting condom on.

I never got good at doing it. Usually it became a giggle feast between SO and I.

Also be careful and ensure there's enough lube! SO and I had a condom break during the same thing using it because I was nursing... thus now I have kids 18.5 months appart!

You could try talking dirty to him while you're putting it on. That may also have the added benefit of distracting you from feeling awkward or clumsy.

I've found that the easiest way of putting a condom on my husband is to place the condom on the head of his dick (after making sure it's the right way around), then pinch the tip of the condom to make sure there's no air trapped in there. While still pinching the tip of the condom, I wrap my thumb and forefinger around his dick and the edge of the condom, and slide my fingers down the shaft. The condom unrolls quickly this way.

I don't like to drag out the process. While we rarely use condoms (I'm on the pill), we've had to use them in the past due to antibiotic use. By the time we reach the condom stage, I'm worked up enough that the last thing I want to be doing is messing around with a damn condom! The method I use is the fastest way I've found of getting that sucker on safely and quickly!

Good luck!

Nothing Silly About Sex & Love

There is no right or wrong way to engage in any part of sex and lovemaking as long as it's between consenting parties. As long as your guy's cock is erect and ready I suggest you just maintain eye contact as you go about putting that condom on him and the love in your eyes and heart will make it one beautiful act of sensual play. As long as you relax and play like you mean it you can never botch the job. You're right, most condoms taste like blech! Do all that you do with love and you can't go wrong. Awkwardness is nearly always telegraphed, so just relax and focus on the love, not the act.

I am like your husband...I'd much rather have my wife put it on me...It turns me on!

Just so you know that you are not alone, I have been even worse- I've had trouble putting them on MYSELF!

After some time with this, suprise suprise, I found that condoms are not "one size fits all", and if you are uhh, larger than the norm it is a stretchy battle at times. If you get larger condoms, might have to look around for them but they are out there, it is amazingly simple to get them on, like how you think it should be. Just unroll and Voila!

So go find some that are a bit larger, and be daring and buy a few different kinds, and I think you're problem will most likely go away.

Hmm...that's a tough question to answer. Personally I'm a mouth user...its easier than using my hands...granted it's not the best taste...water based flavored lube seems to help. I know the combined pill affects milk supply, but I've heard the progesterone only pills, injections, or IUD's don't....have you looked into those? There's also the copper IUD which has no hormones (I've heard it is pricey. I have great medical coverage so I don't know the cost of these things)
