Sick Kitty

Oh Damn...
(((((((((((((((((SEACAT)))))))))))))))))
I didnt realize until today....
It hurts to lose our "furry family friends." I am sorry. But you have three adorable "grandchildren" to remember her by. You seem like an incredible person with a heart as big as the moon. GIving you and yours hugs as big as the sun.

CRitter will be buried tomorrow. I have already dug the hole. (It is deep so nothing will get to her.)

I am now looking for a small Bast Statue we can place over her grave.

Critter will be remembered. She came into our lives and added to them. She gave us her children, all three of which are royal pains in the butt.

It is obvious that her kids miss her. You just have to watch them as they look for her. They seem to mirror us.

Again many thanks for those who have given us support.

We buried Little Miss Critter today. Yesterday I dug the hole. I dug it deep so nothing will disturb her.

Today my wife watched as I placed her in a box we had made. I splurged, I grabbed some Blue Birch from the local home repair place. They seemed happy to get rid of it. I made the box and my wife carved the top. She carved in a picture of a cat.

I lined the box with a towel that Critter always seemed to find. She was never far from it and could usually be found sleeping on it. Also in the box were placed several toy mice she always liked and a pinch of Catnip.

Both of us were choked up as we buried her. It hurt and yet it was an end of a sort. Somehow I know she is watching us and laughing at us. Critter had a sense of humor, she chirped at things we did.

Now I am looking for a small stauette of Bast to place over the spot where we buried her. We won't forget her. (I can't, I will forever have problems with my ankle because of her.) Besides we have her kids to remind us of her.

I'm sorry Cat losing a sweet family member is hard but you just remember the good times with her and she'll always be around when you need her :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose:

Some one here sent me a great letter about this. I'm still trying to find a prayer I saw a long time ago about a cats heaven being fields of short soft grasses filled with fat and lazy mice, the lack of dogs, fleas and traffic, and of course a plentitude of food.

Yes losing a pet is hard, I've gone through it before.

Critter though was a truly hard loss for us. We had rescued her from the street. We had accepted her into our family, and I almost lost a foot to her.

She accepted us after a short while. She seemed to love us in her own way, she would curl up in my lap most evenings.

I once heard cats described as little humans in fur coats. Critter and our others certainly fall into that catagory. They do have their own personalities. (No I won't bore you with them.)

The "Kids" are slowly recovering from their and our loss. Squeek has taken over the role of the mooch. We can't sit down with anything to eat without her being there trying to grab a morsel or two.

On the other hand all of the cats now sleep on our bed. (That gets a bit uncomfortable at times I have to tell you.)
