You may not think so, but I say its beautiful! Where I live in Ohio, we don't get the white, pretty snow that they get by the lakes...we get, what I call..slitslush! Its soooo different from the Michigan winters I was used to.

Yeah well...

It is still rare that we get snow here, and it is melting already. Tonight it will rain and it will be gone. We got about 2 inches at best and then it stopped.

I do like snow, and I do think it is beautiful, but when you are trying your best to lure someone out here to the NW from Michigan, someone who is tired of snow and cold all the time, mother nature just isn't cooperating!

We have plenty of snow - up in the mountains where it belongs.

Hate snow.. hate winter.. You wanna know why? Have you ever woken up at 3 o'clock in the morning to the sound of a bomb going off, only to realize another tree exploded? Have you had your power go out at least once or twice a night? Have you had to get up every two hours to throw more wood on the fire so you don't freeze to death during the night? Have you ever had to wade hundreds of yards through snow up to your chin just to get to your car, then shovel the damn thing out, so you can go to the store and get food? If you've done all these things and you don't hate winter, you're even more masochistic than I am.

Well Fly, all I can suggest is to revisit the issue in about 30 years and see how feel about it then. Me, I want to spend my winters someplace warm for a change - like Tahiti.

Wishing for Snow

I'd much rather see snow falling down than the miserable damp drizzle and rain we're getting in NYC today! Sidewalks can get slippery here, but the heat from the subways under ground usually take care of most of it. But it looks so pretty falling down!

The tree was lit at Rockefeller Center last night in 63 degree weather!
