I got my kids "Shreck" for Christmas. I am cracking up. I just finished watching the part where the prince is looking for someone...he asks "where is he" this little fairy creature answers "Do you know the muffin man?" prince answers "the muffin man? fairy creature "yes, the muffin man?" prince, "yes, I know the muffin man, the one who lives on Drury Lane?"

LOL

Have y'all seen this movie?

I tell ya, I am easily amused! :)

Shrek is a GREAT movie!! That's one of the Christmas presents I got this year. I'd recommend it to everyone.

Shrek

I loved Shrek! Very humorous. I loved the voice of Shrek. The lilting accent was perfect for him. I could and will watch this over and over. The dance scene at the end is priceless!

My kids have watched it non-stop. I've seen it with them about a half-dozen times. It's a perfect family movie. And the Grinch, too! This was a green creature Christmas. :)

I bought that movie several weeks ago for my son. It is absolutely hilarious!!! I still laugh every time we watch it!:D

For those that would like a preview of Shrek, go to the following URL. You must have Flash media player installed on your computer to view it but if you don't have it the site will direct you to the download and it only takes a few moments.

Awesome movie with lots of adult innuendo.

The kids laugh with me and don't even know why! lol

Oh! And to see them try to dance with the ending medley is wonderful too.

Good choice :)

I loved it. I couldn't get the image of Mike Meiers' dad from "So, I married an Ax Murdurer" out of my mind, since he used the same voice. It was entertaining for adults and kids but at the end..when Eddie Murphy did "Baby Got Back". I rolled. :D

I bought this movie for my daughter, but I haven't watched it yet. She said it was hilarious. Think I will be taking it from her tomorrow night..

Loved it! I took my son to see it in the theater when it was out and just got the dvd for Christmas. :)

"Thank you, I'll be here all week...try the veal!"

Loved that line (after the big wrestling match). The movie takes a number of heavy shots at Disney, which was also funny. But I came away thinking that the movie should have been better, there should have been MORE. It was good, but not great.

Tho the soundtrack has some great songs. The song "Hallelujah" by Rufus Wainwright is absolutely gorgeous, and a much heavier song than you'll find in most kiddie movie.

I only wish I could get my copy back from Xander.... He borrowed it to watch it about a month ago and I havn't seen it sence..... the Bastard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday Night Fever

My favourite line is when the evil Prince gets swalllowed up by the dragon. They cut to a shot of him inside it's belly singing "Staying alive, staying alive"

Loved that!

Oh gawd,I have watched it over and over again. I love it. But did you notice that alot of the jokes kids couldnt,or rather shouldnt be able to figure out? I love that in kid movies.

Okay so the jokes were mentioned already... should read the entire thread first... ;)

People said good things about this movie on an earlier thread so I bought it for myself for Christmas. Haven't had time to watch it yet, though.

Find the time, Cheyenne. You won't be disappointed. Took the whole family to the theater to see it when it first came out and we watched it until the final credit rolled.

Now we own it. It's a great movie.

Now Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius, on the other hand...I fell asleep during that one.

Fantastically hysterical !!!

I have been told by a friend in the "Biz" that the name Farqwad or however it's spelled is actually Mike Myers play on the word Fuckwad !

And the voice for Shrek is the same as Fat Bastard from Austin Powers movies. ( this is unconfirmed by anyone else... only him. )

My fav scene is when the Gingerbread Man is being tortured and spits on Farqwad.

I love the scene where Donkey and Shreck are climbing the rocky cliff and Donkey smells brimstone, and accuses Shreck of (thinking of a polite way of saying it...) backfiring...at him.....

Heyyy! Good Morning, Pokerman! Great to see you, where ya been? I, for one, have missed your smiling boxers...errr, your smiling face, I mean! ;) :)

I also bought the movie for my son but find myself watching just as much as him each time he puts that one in. I love donkey, he has to be my favorite.

I loved the scene when they are in the arena and Shrek is in the "wrestling ring" and donkey is standing on the ropes saying "over here over here" -- for some reason it makes me laugh even now.

Have a good one ya'll

We got that for our kids over Thanksgiving and it came with a Christmas song CD. It is hysterical. It only has 4 songs but it is cute. It gives a whole new meaning to the song the 12 Days of Christmas and Jingle Bells. My favorite part of the movie is when Farqwad is tortuing the Gingerbread Man. I laugh every time I go to eat a cookie. The cookie tells him to "Eat Me!" while being questioned. My son's favorite new song is "Baby's Got Back!" and my daughter's is "I'm a Believer!". They, however, think it is funny that mommy knows what those songs are in the original versions.
We are getting ready to go see Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius for my son's birthday party. I hope it isn't that bad, I don't want to have to deal with bored 7 year olds.
