Does anyone else feel the need to shower or rinse off prior to having sex with their significant other/partner?

If I think there is a chance we could have sex I tell my wife I’m going to jump in the shower quickly. Especially if we try before bed or in the AM when we wake up. I’ve even jumped in the shower mid-day when the opportunity comes up.

I don’t care if she showers but it’s something I feel like I need to do.

Ugh. I have a love/hate relationship with shower sex.

For a couple of years or more, shower sex was the only sex we had for quickie sex. She is a germaphobe so it helped to just jump in soap up and then let the sex juice go down the drain. I’m more likely to take a shower after sex. Only reason I’d take one before is if I felt really gross (post workout or something) but even then I might save the shower for after.

I don't care if my wife showers before. A decent amount of the time, of I think sex might be a possibility I'll make an excuse to hop in the shower (even though I shower in the morning and she'll only have sex at night). My wife is like this. She prefers to take a shower first and says she gets in the mood easier when she’s clean.

Ha! I don’t have that issue for sure. I can be in and out in 3-5 minutes. Rinse, soap, rinse and done.
