Should Mass Shooters work from home?

We have had a myriad of changes to "the law."

What a nebulous term...

When "we" study the history of Europe, it is a study on "The Art of War."
So much for strict gun laws.

And none of them have had much effect because the 'others' block anything significant.

What about the Spanish- American War, Vietnam, Iraq 1 and 2 and Afghanistan? Or have you forgotten them?

I love the gun control debate, especially when the morons showcase themselves with lame-ass deflection about fertilizer, cars, and knives.

When it comes to people killed by firearms, police data reported to the FBI estimates that guns were used in 10,258 of the 13,927 homicides that occurred in 2019.

Not a gun problem, just ask HisArpy!

Rapey is a proven liar and a flaming idiot. Besting him is like winning the Special Olympics.

Statistics showing that guns are responsible for the majority of borders aren’t surprising. People tend to be lazy and unimaginative.

Take the guns away and they’ll find the next easiest method, then we’ll need knife control, hammer control, and eventually it’ll be illegal to have a toaster in the bathroom.

You can’t legislate anger and violence out of people.

Timmy had a van full. That's got to be one helluva location.

I don't even know how to blow up a sack of poop. Or it's chemical equivalence.

I do know how to point and squeeze a trigger. And if I don't, there are these places all over where I can practice. On human shaped dummy targets even. Super handy.

Knowing how to squeeze a trigger?

Do you understand the procurement process?

I look at it like this:

Consider the number of people
and consider the number of guns
and it quickly becomes apparent that
mass shootings are an aberration and
individual shootings are crimes of passion
(or madness) in which any old weapon will do.

And the people who display the greatest consternation
are those who, would never, ever own a gun and are ruled
by an imagination of the most fertile kind; at times almost wistfulness...

It’s easier than buying a taco! I mean, if they ran background checks for tacos...

But I want a burrito!

A nice big shiny black one. Like my Saiga...

To date, my large gun collection and stockpile of ammunition
have not gone out and murdered a single person.
I feel they are not reaching their potential.

It would seem that the vast, overwhelming numbers of guns are defective.
If you don't count the guns of pure criminals, then almost
all guns share this defect of character.

;) ;)

All very well but deaths from guns in the USA are vastly disproportionate to deaths in other developed countries. What you are saying completely ignores the real problem. If you can't see that there IS a problem? You have your head in the sand.

So fucking what?

We have a disproportionate rate of death due to obesity (and its side effects) too.

Ban fucking cake???

The real problem is mental illness, and a culture where people aren’t taught to deal with failure.

But keep giving little Timmy a trophy for coming in 11th place so he feels valued, I’m sure he’ll be fine when as an adult the world bitch slaps him into reality.

There is a problem in certain communities.
There is the occasional lone wolf.

This small sampling of conditions is not enough for me
to roll over and surrender my right and my liberty.

You never had the choice.
You don't understand.

Bye...

The US is vastly different from other developed countries culturally. This is an area where our "melting pot" hasn't worked all that well. The other developed nations are essentially mono-cultures. And I notice it is with your growing immigrant and minority populations that you are also experiencing a spike in crime and murders.

We could eliminate fully 80% of our murders (and virtually all other crime), by any weapon, by eliminating our Black and Hispanic populations. No one taken seriously is advocating that measure, just as no serious politician in your nations are advocating getting rid of your minorities. There is one nation that has recently taken that step, Japan. A step that Japan took before the Wuhan Flu outbreak and a step that has gone largely unnoticed.

It is also interesting to note that even with our murder rate the US stands as 17th among the developed nations when it comes to crime victimization. In stark contrast to the UK that routinely comes in 1st or 2nd. (World Crime Victimization Survey - The Hague Netherlands)

Ogg has forgotten the old adage...

When you point a finger at me,
three fingers point back at you.

So you don't have a problem?

We have our own which are different but we accept them and are working together to solve them.

Our politicians may differ but cooperate.

Sure you are...

Elderly white man contented with the current system/reality.

Works for you, eh?

We have a people problem, not a gun problem.

We have a system dedicated to absolving people of any blame:

It's always

Guns
Racism
Poverty
Lack of educational opportunity

Contented? No. Working hard to solve things locally as best I can - yes, and have been doing it for over sixty years, as my extended family still is.

Currently, two of my family are councilors. In the past, many more have been and one even stood for Parliament.

... and of course, no one in the US does that.

We have abrogated basic human nature because, you know, GUNZ...

I'll wager you have about the same proportion of criminals with no regard
for making anything better that we do. Goes for Canada too. New Zealand/Australia.
