I didn't suggest anything about sanctions for pilots so I'm not sure what your first two paragraphs are about. However, there is a massive difference between a pilot saying they saw something unusual (the evidence you've provided) and the government having a collection of alien spacecraft (the title you gave this thread).

You keep bringing up people who believe the same things you do but still no actual evidence of these captive spacecraft. Grusch says he's spoken extensively to people with first hand knowledge of these things yet fails to provide a single detail about the aliens and their ships. Instead he goes on about secrets and coverups, using the language of a conspiracy theorist.

If military officials are going to pivot from their regular duties to defending the world from aliens, it's going to involve some pretty big changes. Spaceships and aircraft rather than tanks and infantry. It would also be a worldwide issue, not just a matter for the United States.

A distinction without a difference. One could argue evidence is immaterial until a trial is conducted and a verdict found. I'm sure Trump will have evidence as well.

The whistle blower did not break the law. They have rights and protections. As an intelligence officer he is also aware he can't reveal classified information willy nilly. That's why your demands for more detailed information is not available.

Your conspiracy theory that the intelligence officer is some kind of grifter selling a book is way off the mark and quite frankly disgusting. He served his country with valor only to have some keyboard warrior desecrate his service based on nothing at all. I've still got no answers for what should happen to military pilots, radar operators, and intelligence officers when they report UFO activity. This is very analogous to people who cavalierly say abortion should be illegal but when you ask them what the penalty should be, electric chair? Gas chamber? Life without parole? They have no answer because they haven't thought it through.

The same with military pilots reporting UFOs. If they are pathological liars they should be removed from service. If they are having hallucinations in the cockpit they should be removed from service. If they can't identify natural objects in their working environment and confuse them with national security threats they should be removed service. If they are drunk on duty or somehow otherwise incapacitated they need to be removed from service.

Let's not forget these are jets worth hundreds of millions of dollars with the most modern and sophisticated weapons array on the planet. It also costs millions of dollars to train these pilots. Do you really want some nutball who's seeing leprechauns and pink elephants in the cockpit operating these death machines?

When you denigrate eyewitness reports of highly skilled and trained professional military aviators as well as intelligence officers you really are denigrating the entire military. The notion that these people are crazy or grifters is absurd. The idea that repeated violations of U.S. airspace recorded on radar can be attributed technical errors is also absurd. I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure military equipment such as radars, communication equipment, and weapon systems are calibrated on a regular basis.

If you truly believe all this UFO reporting is nonsense perpetrated by bad actors or loonies you need to be consistent and call for the investigation and prosecution of anyone reporting UFOs.
