I try to not post images that I know put people into unsafe positions or illustrate things that might be unsafe. Just a moment ago I came across a *very sexy* rope image that had the woman's hands bound behind her back in a way that I know would cause damage to the nerves that run through the wrists. I decided not to post it. Sometimes however, the image is so erotic or evocative I will decide to post it anyway and will make a little safety note in addition.

There are lots of safe ways to play with bondage and rope. AND there are lots of ways that you can get in trouble too.
for instance - it is generally recommended that you have a pair of safety scissors on hand any time you are playing with rope so you can quickly and easily cut your partner free in case of anything going wrong.

when I see something on this thread that gives me safety concerns, I try to point it out, because I never know when someone will try to copy what they see - literally. When I was new here, I was called out a few times by a poster I have a lot of respect here for posting things that were unsafe, but very sexy images, and it gave me a lot of pause going forward. It is a lesson I have never forgotten.
