I study your pics like this as educational, for the next time (god knows when that will be) I have the opportunity. What kind of rope do you find most erotic in use? Nylon laid? Braided? It has to be kind to the skin, yet bite in just a little for feel. What do you find most appealing?

We use both nylon laid and hemp.
The nylon is smoother and lays next to the skin and can be worn longer I find. The hemp has a bit more "bite" as you say, but does get softer with use.
In both cases the rigger needs to use care in wrapping to be sure that it is not too tight anywhere and the nerves are not compressed.
Both can leave lovely rope marks when applied properly that at least for me can last easily for a few hours.

I know it depends on the individual and how much practice they have, level of talent, etc .. but how long does it take to tie this style of body tie? I'd think the rigger would draw it out as long as possible, but on average? And how long can you keep it on? would you ever get the body tie and then cover it up with a dress, and go out to dinner wearing it? That extension of time would feel delicious. .

A basic karada tie/ combo chest harness/ karada kind of thing does not take very long to tie. Maybe 15-20 minutes.

It can be worn for a rather long time. Hours easily.
And yes. It can be worn under clothes for going out to a movie... or dinner or some combination...
It is a delicious tease. Especially if placed early in the day and told to simply go about ordinary activities of household chores etc. With a promise of playtime later once all is accomplished.
It is a mind body conflict in distraction. Trying to get things done as quickly as possible, while having a hard time concentrating well enough to do so.

Hemp has more roughness to it. It is a coarser kind of rope. So when it is tied around your arms, or legs or torso, even at the same tightness as a smooth nylon braided rope, it has a slight fibrous irritation to it as you move even slightly.

I like a tie that is firm, but does not leave me feeling extreme discomfort. That I am able to move about in for a long period of time so that it is a long tease. So that the bindings are a reminder of who is in control. Like clothes that are rather too tight. Think of underwear where the elastic is too tight around your waist and it "bites" into your flesh.
Rope should bite a bit. That I think is the point. It should stay where it is placed. Depress the skin just a little bit so that it remains in place and the sub is fully aware of its power and his/her submission. That it has been placed to remind him/her of her submission. That the ropes are a substitute for the Doms hands and arms and body touching and caressing and controlling.

Regardless - this is why placement and tightness is so important to get right. Because that compression in the wrong place can cause numbness and damage to nerves or other structures.

Always have safety EMT scissors at hand for quick release. Your sub's safety is more important than preserving a hank of rope.

I have looked for images of Women and Men bound together much as in your last post. Not with success, In your experience, are there any.
 
It is rare to find images of more than a single subject bound. Period. Partly why I wanted to post that image even though I find the rigging to be rather ornamental.
That image is clearly a photo shoot and not a play session, IMO.
