Shibari/RopeWork Appreciation

I saw this picture the other day saved it and was going to post it but something caught my eye and I forgot. Probably best now I won’t be thinking of my rope mentor who would of called it macrame ....I liked a lot of things he didn’t ......those weaves would be hard to put in a different area but I still like it.

The weaving shows imagination, care and attention. I would think it would have taken a while to get right. It would be interesting to feel the rope as it was basket-weaved around the wrists and forearms. I'm curious as to how it might move with her. Macrame? Okay, probably more decorative than restrictive but I like the textual element (and imagining it being tied).

How long would a weave like this take. I would assume that the web would be crafted first before the girl was included. I would also guess that more than one person would be involved in creating this effect.
