shaving...

I was reading the thread for the guy that wanted to shave "down there" and I didn't see any hints for girls. I've been shaving for a few months, and I really prefer it (so does my boyfriend...and I'm reaping the oral benefits!), but I'd appreciate some hints, pointer, tips, etc. for the females.

I use a new razor every time, but I still end up with little red bumps (I'm assuming razor burn?). It doesn't itch that badly, but the bumps are really unattractive to me. Could it be the direction that I'm shaving? or the force that I'm using?

Please help!

I'm in college right now, living in the dorms, so I don't really have access to a camera or scanner, but they look a lot like my boyfriend's neck right after he's shaved. They only last for the day after I shave.

The red bumps sound like shaving bumps. Try shaving in the direction that the hair is growing.
Also try using shaving cream. Check with a druggist or adult store and they will be able to provide some that is suitable for sensitive areas.

Thanks

Thanks for all the tips I've gotten from people in the first ten minutes of posting this querry...(talk about quick service). I'll try it out tonight or tomorrow and report back!

if you would let me do the shaving I promiss no red bumps

There was a thread on the General Board about a week ago discussing this. I think it was called "Shaving". There was a lot of good information on there. Shaving is great, but it does come with some drawbacks.
