shaving vs waxing

Yeah I would definately go with the waxing option.
Shaving is so itchy and uncomfortable when it grows back it makes me far from horny!

Thank you so much, now I want to try it. I am still a huge pussy though, if you'll pardon the pun. ;)

Damn...Pink...my eyes watered reading that! Lol..you are a brave brave woman! You have my utmost respect now...lol

awwww and I wanted to know how the Magic worked! :(

yesterday

The wife and I visited a local salon and had our first ever "wax jobs". My wife had the Brazilian (leaving a small landing strip). Her experience wasn't too bad. I was expecting worse as she has fair/tender skin and was probably risking a few nights on the couch if it had gone poorly!!! LOL Anyway, it was uncomfortable, but she said the lady was really good about letting her know which pulls would hurt worse!

I went second, with the same technician (who was wonderful with a lovely Brazilian accent). They don't do mens' Brazilian waxes, but I had my chest and back done. I was warned that it would hurt worse than my wife's waxing. It was quite painful on each pull, but the effect didn't last long and the results seem wonderful.

The wife was still a bit sore last night, but looking forward to giving it the "tongue test" this evening!

Regarding Magic

me too girl!

I found Magic and I want to use it, but I'm going to ask for some "professional" opinions first. I'm SOOO afraid to burn the kitty, hehe...

I've used it and so has Amfrigger. Try as a test trimming a small area of the pubic patch and test there. Remove after 6 minutes, the minimum amount of time, don't waith the full 9 minutes. If the test does not burn, yopu likely won't get a burn doing the whole thing. Even doing the entire area may be a matter of stages. Apply it for 6 minutes (after the test) and get off all you can. Wait a day or two before doing it again.

We are Magic converts!

I'm just worried about getting it in the membranes in the inner lips and burning! I want it alllllll gone.

My girlfriend saw this on Amazon.com and I bought it for her:
Remington EP1000 Women's Smooth & Silky Hair Removal System
She loves it! She absolutely adores it for her legs and says it works great for her pubes too. She's been using it for 3 months now.

The product looks like an electric shaver but has a few spinning 24 carat gold blade/wheel things that have little rubber feet looking things that rip the hair up. Check out the reviews on Amazon for a more accurate description, I'm sucky at describing things.

She's been raving about this thing since I got it for her and finally we got our house mate to use it on her pubes too.. she fell in love and ordered one for herself too. And our housemate is an experienced waxer.

My girlfriend says it was sore at first. For about two days her box was a little tender but she sucked it up, plunged in for a second round, and found it to be much less painful as you go. The hair is now growing in very slowly, and very thin and soft. She doesn't have to use it as much anymore and you don't get that harsh stubble from shaving. Man the worst thing used to be when both of us hadn't shaved for a few days.. nothing good feeling about sharp stubble poking sharp stubble on sensitive areas. But now it's just my sharp stubble.. yaaay ;)

Here's the amazon link:

I did my face yesterday and though it didn't burn while on, it burned when I took it off, that's why I'm scared. Get me? :( I'm scared. Hold me. ;)

*drool*

I once again offer my services as the videographer! (My other 'services' are available too!)

Heck, to join in on this scene, I'll even wear red heels myself...but no promises on how long I'll be able to remain on my feet!

I actually have no desire to see a man in heels, so if O wants you to hold the camera, I have no objections. ;)

Don't know, I've had some pretty bad experiences. Once you get the hang of it, it's really not so bad. If I don't wait until a lot of hair has grown in, it's less painful to do it myself than to go to a professional. I do "maintenance" about once a month.

Once a *MONTH*?? REALLY slow hair, growth, PO??

I've been waxing my legs for about 10 years now, maybe more. Not only do I not have to do anything for at least 4 weeks, I have whole patches where no hair grows at all. I just started waxing my underarms, which, btw, hurts like hell, but it's worth it to not have to shave every day. :D

I'll pass on waxing my pits & legs, thanks.

I, too, have patches of baldness...on my chin, to the left and right of where my whiskers grow in. I don't have a beard, but if I forego shaving a day or more, I can feel those patches with my finger.

wow thanks

Pink Orchid, what a great bit on waxing. I was just waxed last week (bare as the day I was born) and must say - I am hooked and will never go back to shaving. Now after reading your post I'm inspired to try myself in a couple of months.

One question, is three weeks too soon to go back? I um... have a hot date. ;)
