I suspect that this has been covered before, but my gf and I have been talking about me shaving my cock and balls. I am excited by the idea, but am concerned about rashes and ingrown hairs and the like; electric or plain man's razor, or maybe a womens razor?, shave cream or lotion of some kind? My gf has volunteered to do the deed for me, and I like that idea too, but would appreciate some input from those who have been there.

For the pubic hair around the balls, you can use a electric if you are a person that usualy doesnt get rashes from it. The only way to do your balls themselves, is with a plain razor. Do yourself a favor and get the kind with the "protector" wires over the blades...you do NOT want to nick your nuts :p

Why shave?

I say leave the hair, niceguy, trim it very low maybe if you've got a lot, but I find a mans genitals much more appealing when it's up close and personal and tickles my nose ;) still, it's up to you!

I think the fact that you trust someone enough to come at you with a razor is the best thing I've heard.

Be careful, and tell us what you decide, we are a nosy bunch ;)

OK...

couldn't resist another opportunity to expound wisdom on such a critical issue...have tried every way I think. Firstly, it's definitely worth it from the guy's point of view. I really think it enhances the sensations. Only drawback I've found, other than the risks of the shaving process itself, is that things tend to stick together more when there's no hair to break the friction. You have to be more careful about sudden moves, especially in boxers or sans underwear. Otherwise, as to the process itself, I have a few "don't piss into the wind" -isms to share:

Shaving feels better, but can produce rash/ ingrown hairs.
Short clipping with mustache trimmer clippers is a good start, especially the first time; you can just stop there or take the plunge.
If shaving:
Use the gel type creams for better and longer-lasting lube.
Now, quit rubbing yourself and get on with it.
Don't shave against the direction of the fur (more ingrown hairs).
Don't use a straight razor or the old double-edged type.
Don't believe her when she says she can do it better.
Use a medicated after-shave balm/ cream of some kind.
Now, quit rubbing yourself and get on with it.

Morning weathered........

Personally, I trim the balls and pluck (tweezers)
the hairs from the shaft. Found that shaving needed t obe
done everyday, otherwise gave wife burns.....

Over on the General Board there are a lot of threads about the virtues of Magic Shave, a depilatory (sp?) that a lot of men and women seem to prefer over shaving.

You may want to do a search on Magic or Magic Shave.

Unless you want to be scratching your package , I would opt for shaving, just to thin it out. From past experience, you will be constantly itchy until it grows in.

partner has just done this and although it was interesting, overall i prefer hairy balls ;)

if oyu wanna try then clipping very close is probably a good bet as i got wierd stubble burn from when it started to grow back

If her genitals are shaved too you can actually stick together - which can be very painful trying to unstick yourselves especially if lube or sweat or both is involved!

As someone who shaves that area regularly, my advice is to do it in the shower. Hot water, some shaving cream and a BRAND NEW razor help. As far as itching, I never get that if I keep it shaved every few days. And it's necessary, otherwise the little pricklies make sex very uncomfortable for the receiver. Also, just go slow and it's probably easier when you have an erection. When I shave 'em, I'm just very gentle and am very careful to rinse the razor out after every swipe.

And it is definitely worth it. I used to think it would affect my masculinity, but not only does it feel better for both people, it goes in easier and seems to feel deeper. :) Plus, it has this visual effect of making your penis seem even longer. That's a plus for most guys. ;)

I detest excesses of hair down there, on me or him. It feels unclean on me and i don't like getting his hairs where they shouldn't be while my mouth is down there, as it often is.

Therefore, one of my long-time responsibilities to my Master is to keep him shaved smooth. I do it every few days. If one keeps up with it then there's definitely a decrease in the rash/ingrown hair problem.

Neither of us can use Magic lotion; we both have sensitivities to it. If you decide to check it our for yourself, please follow the directions and do a test patch first. It burned the hell out of the test patch place on my Master's balls when we did one on him. Consequently, he has a place on his balls that doesn't grow hair anymore.

For me, i keep a sharp razor in the shower and shave myself at least every other day. I don't ever let the hair get much longer than that. I *hate* that hairy feeling down there, to be honest.

We've discussed this subject many times in this forum. Here are a few links for your reading pleasure:

Lovetoread, as long as he hasn't ignored the earlier part about the straight razor, I'll accept the... possibility, at least, that she has a superior angle and view. And, PLEASE, keep rubbing YOURself. Wish I could be there to help.

I use an electric razor myself, completely shave down about every two months..
