Ok,I normal always shave my cock,I hate having hair down there,BUT recently I have been gettin' paranoid people might find out or a gurl i'm with might make fun,I normal didn't give A shit. Now I've let it grow again...But still kinda' thinking to shave it off tomorow, any thoughts ?

Shaving shouldn't be a problem for women at all, given the fact it makes oral and intercourse so much better! You can always ask the woman how she feels about it and grow it out if she doesn't like it. Or, if you're that concerned, keep everything shaved and then just leave the upper part trimmed close.

Worst case, she thinks it's weird and won't want to see you again...but do you really want to be with a woman who is so vanilla that she can't accept something you like so much?

Bottom line...calm down, get rid of the paranoia, and keep shaving because it makes you happy! Your confidence will show through, and most of the women you're with will be happy also.

I think a shaved cock is hot - honestly it makes me want to run my tongue everywhere there would normally be hair! I am even thinking of asking my husband if he will do it - I think it would be very sexy.

If you like to do it anyway - I say keep doing it. Who cares what anyone else thinks - and you might come across a girl who likes it.

I agree so much,it feels so fresh, clean and I just love the smooth feel of it.

I'm wondering if there's a cultural influence on this subject...My husband studied in the UK for a year and divulged to his male friends that he shaved. They were shocked, asked why a guy would do that, and teased him a little. He simply replied, "It makes me look bigger and gets me more blowjobs." :D I'm guessing a couple of those guys have shaved since then!

TS, if you're super uncomfortable about it, you could always tell the girl that you heard it was more pleasureable for women, tried it, and liked how it felt.

But everyone else is right...you should always do what you want unless it's going to hurt somebody else. Break out that razor!

Hmmm - we tried it a couple of times but the stubble at the base of the shaft became a problem during regrowth - even one day's worth. Imagine doing it with a rolled up bit of sandpaper - you get the picture. Got told to never do it again so now we just trim everything short with a beard trimmer.

Pat.

Excellent point Pat. We use hair clippers/trimmers too. Hairless is nice once in awhile, but the clippers do a great job for everyday grooming.

Maybe not the best way, but this usually works:
1) Sit in the tub or put your skin under the shower for a good long time to soften the hair.

2) Lather up with shaving cream, gel, or some use hair conditioner. Leave it on for a minute or two.

3) Use a brand new (preferably double or triple blade) razor, and go at it.

4) Shave with the direction of the hair first to get most of it. Use as few passes as possible, and don't press too hard. You can clean up stray hairs by going against the hair growth. It might be helpful to pull the skin taut in some areas.

5) Rinse with warm water and pat dry (don't rub). I'm not sure if it's available over the counter there, but I find hydrocortisone cream (ask the pharmacist) applied liberally after drying works great to avoid razor burn. There might be a product in the shaving/women's aisle of the drugstore (e.g. Bikini Zone) that helps to avoid irritation, but cortisone cream is a lot cheaper. Don't use anything with alcohol or perfumes in it. Don't wear tight underwear or anything that rubs too much.

Good luck and happy shaving!

Thank you very much! I will shave my stuff, talk a walk to the local woods, find my private/secret area, get naked and get one hell of a tan :)...Only thing is the place is gonna' be full of people(due to it is a public area)I best be well hidden.

I've been clean for most of the past 5 years now and have to confess that its better than all hairy. Nothing better than a fresh shave downstairs and heading out commando-style!

i always shave, all the girls i have been with were suprised when they first saw it but alllll loved it

I've been shaving for several months -- just the shaft and my balls. My wife likes the smooth feel and, I gotta admit, I kinda enjoy it myself.

It's very easy for me: Just soap and a straight edge in the shower every other day. (It's easier if I have a hard-on.) Takes about two mintues, tops. Then again, I'm blond and fair-skinned. Shaving might be harder for a guy with coarse pubes.

hair trouble

anybody know any hair removal creams made for 'sensitive areas' ? all the ones i can find say not to use em there

I don't know of any special creams, but I think it really depends on the individual and how sensitive your skin is. Any depilitory cream is going to say "don't use on genitals"...can you imagine the lawsuits they'd get if they didn't? I've used Nair a couple of times with good results and minimal irritation. I coated anywhere I didn't want it with vasoline first, and very, very carefully applied it, leaving it on for the minimum amount of time. But that's not for everyone certainly.

I can hardly believe I'm the first one to mention this product-- Magic Shave. It's available in both a cream and a powder (which you mix with water into a cream/paste) and can be found in the ethnic hair care section of drugstores like Rite Aid and Walgreens.

Magic Shave is the hands-down favorite of folks here on Lit. If you run a search for "magic shave" you will find dozens of threads. I've used it myself with good results. Be sure you test it on a small area first; I used the inside of my forearm.

Good luck!
