I haven't listened to these guys in years except for the occasional times on the radio, but I think a lot of us are still working for the weekend.

Wish I had red leather pants instead of black.

You Oughta Know

I want you to know, that I am happy for you
I wish nothing but the best for you both
An older version of me
Is she perverted like me?
Would she go down on you in a theater?
Does she speak eloquently
And would she have your baby?
I'm sure she'd make a really excellent mother

'Cause the love that you gave that we made
Wasn't able to make it enough for you
To be open wide, no
And every time you speak her name
Does she know how you told me
You'd hold me until you died
'Til you died, but you're still alive

And I'm here, to remind you
Of the mess you left when you went away
It's not fair, to deny me
Of the cross I bear that you gave to me
You, you, you oughta know

You seem very well, things look peaceful
I'm not quite as well, I thought you should know
Did you forget about me, Mr. Duplicity?
I hate to bug you in the middle of dinner
It was a slap in the face
How quickly I was replaced
And are you thinking of me when you fuck her?

'Cause the love that you gave that we made
Wasn't able to make it enough for you
To be open wide, no
And every time you speak her name
Does she know how you told me
You'd hold me until you died
'Til you died, but you're still alive

And I'm here, to remind you
Of the mess you left when you went away
It's not fair, to deny me
Of the cross I bear that you gave to me
You, you, you oughta know

'Cause the joke that you laid in the bed
That was me and I'm not gonna fade
As soon as you close your eyes, and you know it
And every time I scratch my nails
Down someone else's back I hope you feel it
Well, can you feel it?

And I'm here, to remind you
Of the mess you left when you went away
It's not fair, to deny me
Of the cross I bear that you gave to me
You, you, you oughta know

Changes
I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence
And so the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're goin' through

That is such a really powerful song. I do like her music. Oh and are those daggers in your nipples?

Thank you for sharing Changes, listening now.....think it may be a Bowie night :) pure genius that man :cattail:

We went for a long drive today.
Full of winding country roads
Sights unseen by either of us
And so much to discuss in the
Hold of each other’s hand,
Innocent,
Caring,
Kind,
Touching
turning to
Caressing,
Hungry,
Possessive
squeezes.

After we parted
And I was driving myself home,
This song by The Head and The Heart came on
And I realized how important
Just spending time together
Really sets foundations.

Every white boy loves the blues

Hope that this is in keeping with the spirit of the thread.

Used to listen to the blues all the time when I was young.

The Head and the Heart have quite a bit of good music. I saw them live a few years ago and they were really fun to watch.

I first heard this song in its original form from Tommy James and the Shondells, so when this version came out with a female voice using strange synth stuff happening in the background (is that an echo? Harpsichord?!) I hated it... then I kept hearing it... and as these things do, it grew on me... and now it’s in my shuffle of eclectic music.

I think we’re alone now:

Look at the way
We gotta hide what we're doin'
'Cause what would they say
If they ever knew and so we're

Running just as fast as we can
Holdin' on to one another's hand
Tryin' to get away into the night
And then you put your arms around me
And we tumble to the ground
And then you say

I think we're alone now
There doesn't seem to be anyone around
I think we're alone now
The beating of our hearts is the only sound

Loved the female voice on it, really unusual.
