I wrote this one in less than a week and would love some feedback on it. It's an entry for the Nude day contest, but I barely break the 100 vote barrier, so winning isn't really on my agenda. I would like to build more of a reader base so feel free to give it a look. Who doesn't like interracial threesomes?

Just to clarify, before anyone takes offense to SR's comment:

A hundred votes is a pipe dream/miracle in many categories. Seeing the number of votes you consider a pittiance would cause many people to nurse bruises from their jaws hitting the floor.

Thus, the laugh.

At least, that's what I'm reading ;)

No offense taken, I just see where some authors in contests can get votes in the 500's. Hell, most of my votes taper out by 23.

Some of those authors have 500 alts, so it probably comes down to like 10 real people voting anyway.

Right.

I think the sweep program has negated most of the alt double voting.

sr, I don't think you can have 'alt' double voting on contests. Doesn't the Lit bot work on IP's? Can't see how else the sweeps could work.

The approach means that roommates sharing a link with a single IP only get one vote - tough love - but alts are surely an irrelevance to contests?

Someone said a while back that the contest excluded low votes that seemed to be troll votes. If so, it kinda undermines scouries' 'it's all an AH dastardly plot' theory.

Are you dipping your toe in the water this time?

That's what I was suggesting. I'm sure it's possible to get around it. But I have no idea how--and I'll bet a lot others don't either.

sr, I think alts are just alter egos set up within the membership - like freddie and scouries. They matter in year-end contests (if we ever have them) but not for normal voting and contests.

IPs define the location of the respondent and Lit can sweep duplicate votes from the same IP. Not perfect, as my SO complains, but undestandable.

Yes, so? Why did you think I needed to be instructed on what there was no reason to believe I didn't know?

Don't bother to answer. Just buzz off.

If it's purely IP based, there's ways around it. I had friends in a contest on another site that did it by IP, and basically the winning entry is believed to have amassed the amount of votes it did due to ways that people can get around it easy. I have no idea if it'd work at lit, I don't feel a need to try (though adding thousands of 1 votes to some of the alt whores would be nice).

I'm too lazy to make up alts, so I'll depend on the kindness of strangers.
