~ I'm trying to get into the mood to do some work around the house. It's in such a state of upheaval and chaos since the man-child made the decision to give up his apt and join the carpenter's union and go to trade school - at their insistance.

I'm listening to Classical Gas by Mason Williams to give me that mood - but - all I want to do is dance or shout. But I can't do either.

No room for one thing. Each room is crammed almost to over-full. And I don't want to be heard if I either scream or cry. My poor feline darling is worried about me enough as it is. He's never more than a few feet from me - he follows me literally everywhere.

I missed this post yesterday..sorry sweetie. It is a loss, and it hurts right now..alot!! I too have this achy hollowness that you spoke of..and all I want to do today is to call him, as I have in the past...and let him put me in a better mood.
Yet I know thats not going to happen....I swear all my thoughts go to YES right now. I feel as if I just lost a best friend..her loss is sooo much more!! I can't fathom it..it's just NOT sinking in!! And I wish it would so I could grieve and start to heal. Fuck.

~ I wish I could have known him better as well, Oman. We'd only just started talking and teasing - but I look back and smile at those few times - and am so glad I had them.

At least we can share the hurt a bit. I join Oman in letting YES, Jazzy, Kayte and the others who knew and spent such precious time with Steve that, even though we are distant, we feel some of your pain. He'll always be remembered, and posting on LIT will never feel the same.
