Sexually Judgemental? On Literotica??????

I suppose some of them are just trolls, but...

Guys (I'm just assuming here...) who are reading Literotica stories have a problem with my main character (Me) and her behaviors. Just too weird for words, huh?

Takes all kinds, I guess!!!

I get the weirdest emails from people too...telling me how horrible my characters are and how bad the choices they make are...I gently remind them that it is FICTION! People take things so personally!

One reader even said I should marry the woman wrote about, bcause it was ovbious we were in love with each other.

Having only one story I was a little surprised how people took my story so personal... nice point of view Box... I never thought about it like that....

I particularly like it when guys e-mail me for the addresses of some of the sex clubs I write about.

Reminds me of a straight novel I wrote where I located a boutique hotel with an existing restaurant (because it was convenient for the plot). The restaurant owner tells me he's still getting calls to make hotel reservations.

I had someone tell me that what I did in a story was illegal. Somehow he got it into his head that taking a photo without a person's permission could get me put in jail. Weird, just weird.

For every ten decent members, there's always the pissy guy who got a bad review - and he's bitter. Ignore it - they pick on writers that make them feel insecure in some way. You can't help being so darned good

I chalk it up to a failure (or lack) of imagination. The trolls can't imagine someone going to the trouble of writing a story that's either 1) not based in reality or 2) one of the author's pet fantasies. The means, by their lights, that the author is a person who has done really bad things, or basically a sick pervert for wanting to do those things.

Theirs is a simple life, really...

We tell stories, we don't necessarily live them, or want to.

Of course people are sexually judgmental. Most of us have our preferences, and have had a lifetime to internalise them. We are confronted with something we've never considered, and we react-- for better or worse.

Readers don't come to literotica to be exposed to new practices, they come for more of the same old.

Sometimes they have even used the description in the story as a guide. This is true , in particulr, about women fucking their male partners in the ass with a strapon.

I don't know if it's even generally true (nor does Stella, I reckon). Folks come to read on Lit. for all sorts of reasons and may or may not latch onto new ideas while they are here. No one, to my knowledge, ticks off a list of what they're here for or is keeping records on that.
