I'm thinking that the gym teacher part speaks of her body. Skip the student angle all together.

Maybe she accidently sends them to a co-worker. The male history teacher is single like she is and never thought she'd ever be interested in him. He asks her out. When she declines, he asks her why she sext'd him.
