Sexting/chat

Telegram fan here. Signal is too fussy. Google chat and in particular Discord not safe. If only more people were on Brave CHat or Proton Meet :)
 
I just talk here until I get to know someone if they wanna talk to me. It takes a little time but this chat site works just fine.
 
Someone mentioned ICQ earlier...I remember those days and I loved Yahoo chat. That's actually how I discovered Lit. I hardly ever get to cyber, oops I mean sext these days. I like Telegram, Google Chat, Discord, I have KiK, but haven't used it enough to know a lot about it.
 
Mostly Google Chat and Snapchat these days. I keep in touch with a couple of people on Teams just because it’s what Skype became, and it is terrible! lol

The lack of auto refresh really keeps it from being desirable. In chat apps, you can see who's engaged, the flow is better (not saying I won't chat here, just the reason I like to move off when possible)

WHen I looked at it I was not reassured on how data at rest is safeguarded against internal and external access. Also, it's an absolute pain to remove your own data from a server, even simply closing a/c basically leaves it all there.

Now, lets not talk about Lit in this context :) Given that we are both here and we will have assessed what we are happy to have on Lit servers, we should not lose any sleep over leaving similar data with DC. But I have seen quite a lot of folk moving to discord to share what they would not share here and that in my eyes is not a very circumspect approach.

I read somewhere that Signal is the most secure. I "cybered" a lot years ago, not so much these days.
 
The biggest drawback of signla is that it is device specific, so you cannot by default say have the same chat on one phone, then another and then on a PC. re. security, the least secure for most is the device they use and how they use it, not whether they use Signal and Threema or Telegram etc. End to end encryption is nice byt if the end is much less secure one should not overinvest in the in-between :)
