You hit the nail on the head . . . "chore" is the exact word that fits. The few times my wife and I have had sex this year, it has felt like she was just going through the motions out of obligation. What is one to do?
Perhaps a discussion of why it is a "chore" and what she might like?

Wife wad same way. She doesn't understand that she don't have to be squeaky clean or fresh out of shower for me to enjoy eating her out. Hell, we use to have sex in yard while working in it.

We've actually had that discussion and, unfortunately, it comes down to her post-menopausal body not responding like it used to. She has explained that physical stimulation does nothing for her anymore. She doesn't get turned on by any kind of physical contact. She doesn't get horny anymore. She doesn't get very wet when we do fool around and so we need to use lube. Basically, she has come right out and said that she could do without sex altogether. But, when I suggested seeking treatment or therapies (of which there are many for women in that situation) she wasn't interested.
I'm at a loss. And I feel for all the folks here who find themselves in similar situations.

Ouch, I am sorry. But a trip to the doctor to measure the hormone level should be seriously considered.
It’s not just about sex, the hormones regulate a lot of other functions in your body. If she can delay the aging effects with a boost of hormones, why not? Her doctor is the best person to answer these questions.
There is no shame In this, it’s just that damn aging process we will all go through.
