Sex Machine project

I was wanting to start a discussion on building a sex machine. I have seen these on numerious retail web sites. Most of these range in the $200 to $1000+.

The basic objective of this little project is:
- Cheap <$100
- portable
- build from parts locally available
- Comfortable


Right now my rough drawings are using a cheap plastic tool box, aluminum mounting post that you can attach to. I am still working out the motor and gearing.

I have never seen one of these in person so I am going by some designs I've seen across the retail sites.

Does anyone have or used one of these? Any input on what likes/dislikes and improvements.

I hope to have the prototype ready before the end of July. Once I have a working model I will post parts list and instruction guide for everyone.

there was a discussion similar to this a loooooooooong time ago but i can't remember where it was.... prolly been deleted but if it's around you might be able to get some ideas from there.

i have no personal experience with this. all i can say is make sure you have a machine where the RPM's can be well and safely controlled. that's the biggest issue that i can think of.

I think the only reason they are expensive is that its a sex toy.

From the photos I have seen all you really heve is a shaft connected to a rotating motor. Another thing is wether the shaft will drive straight in/out or have a more eliptical in/out motion to give a more random feel.

But I think the only complex part will be making the speed adjustments.

i went a searched the BDSM forum and found at least a half dozen threads devoted to making fucking machines... but not the one i remember from last summer-ish. it seemed to me the guy was asking about converting a drill or something like that. i dunno.

in any case, you may want to search BDSM yourself just to see if there's anything there that addresses your idea. you'll get lots of help here too, it just might be a good supplement.

FWIW, I saw a story on sex machines on Real Sex back when we had HBO. They were using all sorts of appliances for the motors, gears, and speeds, including a Kitchen Aid stand mixer. Anyway, it might be worth seeing if you can find info and garner ideas from something like that.

I knew I had seen a story on tv about them before....

I'll take a look into the BDSM area, I just figured it would be in the "how to" section....

There are two types of machines out there, there is that one you sit on and it vibrates, Sybian I think. And there is the bigger one that pumps, this one I'm assuming is what you are going to do.

Now yes you want it to move around a bit at the end, but not very much, there are two variations on this one that I have seen, there is one where you sit on a chair and it simply pushes straight, there was also a bottom pump for the anal penetration and the front part could be switched to have an opening type toy attached for men who enjoy taking and giving at the same time. That one I saw on the HBO Real Sex. There is another I have seen a short video example on, it runs off a small crank motor, the dildo used sits at the end of a two peice shaft, one part is solid, the other is flexible and it feeds the solid part through a couple loose constraints so the dildo doesn't jump around to much. This one actually looked better since the one from HBO didn't seem to move to far, I myself enjoy getting a full length pumping.

The one on HBO, I'm remembering it a bit more now, it went a half to an inch or so it varied, the other one I saw breifly looked to go a bit farther, both were actually handmade like your working on. I have to say, the second one I saw an example of from a porn site, so you should be able to find it unless the site has folded.

About the sex machine.... I know I remember some posts here. I searched the blank manual and nothing jumped out at me. It could be within a thread and not the title. (I have to admit, I'd never heard of one and when I saw the thread I thought it was a joke until a friend sent me info and I googled.... the things I never knew.) However, I know I remember some of the (mostly) men talk about all those rpm, motors, gears thingies..... I recall Bobmi (and where he disappeared to I don't know?), fvgar, Nightbird maybe....

if i remember right, this is what the old thread elian and i were thinking of was about... a guy wanting to make a drill into a "fucking machine." in theory it's a fair concept. ya just gotta find a way to keep the motor speed down or bad things'll happen.

Sybian appears to be the brand name, but I think it's become more generic. The company also has a male machine and is coming out with a couples one.
Jataime is the thrusting one.

That bike looks really interesting, and actually about the same thing as the little handmade one I mentioned earlier. Do that but use a small little motor with not much in the way of power or speed. Actually as I recall the little one had a fairly large gearing thing on it to slow it down.

Ok, about that one on HBO, it wasn't a floor model or anything, it was made by the guy who makes some of the other sex machines for his girlfriend, I think that was what it was for. Anyway, he used a hydraulic system for the whole thing, it could go cyclic or just move to a certain place depending on what you want. tehy even showed a woman using the thing, she came in 30-40 seconds, possible it was edited to go that fast, but still. It was really going to town on her and I would be coming pretty darn fast myself.
