Have you ever tried to read this book? I couldn’t get through the first 3 pages. The cockney dialect and the pace and tense were all too jarring. Like I don’t mind if a writer throws in a few big words I have to look up, but this was too hard for my brain

I tried to read a book that was mostly Scottish brogue. I can follow it when I hear it but trying to read it phonetically is exhausting.
