ok, I have to admit it, it's been many years since i've installed and run apache and tom cat. I can not remember how to configure the damn things! :mad:
Anyone out there in the wide wide world of the AH know anything about apache and tomcat?

Try pm-ing Tex or Zeb. I seem to remember at the loveshack meet their talking about some very obscure computer stuff.

Wish I could help, but I install each about once a year, and screw it up royally each time.
 
I have Apache installed, mainly for the (very) occasional test when I remind myself I used to program for a living, but I pretty much just accepted the defaults when I installed it. No Tomcat, though.

Like Ted, I just kinda muddle through doing the installation, and the less said about my attempts to get PHP working with Apache, the better.

I guess this post isn't doing much more than keeping your query near the top of the page! Sorry I can't be more help.

i do appreciate the input. still having lousy luck with the whole thing. bummah man. i know its all in the way i configured it. will try to uninstall/reinstall ...AGAIN.

I have set up Apache Tomcat on Linux, but I guess you want to do it on windows.

I'm really curious as to why the feck you want top install it, Vella. Actually it's kinda giving me a boner thinking about it.

need the server for testing. *sigh* no linux here. windows...i just can't remember how i had the freeken thing configured.
 
Which versions of Apache & Tomcat and which Java JRE/SDK do you have installed?

edit: and which version of windows?
