Haven't been on this thread in awhile, as far as I can remember.

This is already the beginning of our second winter after moving back from,,,,,,,,,,,, Florida, I think.

I really did forget how quickly Illinois goes from AC and summer to heat and winter. Yet we really lucked out. No bad storms, floods, or fires. We got to celebrate some family birthdays and my wife's 59th wedding anniversary. She's lucky I put up with her this long!

Each day that passes we realize how much more we need each other. And I had only married her for her cooking and the sex. Now we get our weekly meals delivered and eat out. I forget what the other reason was.

Other than that our senior moments are going well. We're lucky enough to have our three grown kids and some rugrats near and several really old farts we went to grade, middle, and high school with. We sit around someplace eating and talking about the good ole days.

Who'da thunk those days were some of our best.

Are you using one of those meal delivery services that delivers everything to make the meal? If so, which one and do you like it?

I've been ordering my groceries from a local chain since 95. I wouldn't go back to shopping unless there was no other choice.

I haven't been on much because well... real life. This summer was nuts and I thought things would calm down and they didn't and we have a couple of deaths. But things seem to be slowing down some... this holiday is coming up on us fast and I wish all of you and wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Hey stranger! Things were slow after the 2nd shoulder surgery until we got hit by Hurricane Irma...
then everything has been clean up, and trying to get things back to normal.
Many people used money for bills to evac or get supplies and now are behind on electric and other real life things. The electric company has messed with everyone. We had no power for 4 days yet my bill was the very same both months but I am not on one of the plans where they average everything. They sent some bills out that were 3x the normal amount to some people then the TV station got wind of it & they suddenly said if that happened to you just give us a call.

Sorry to hear about your losses. I hope things get straight in the holidays for a better new year
