Senior Moments

Lucky you.. love Florida and the Keys.... but then, it is only a plane ride away!!!:rose:

I'm actually mid state in the Tampa Bay area. He used to play over at a bar in Maderia Beach here.
Like Keys living here on the barrier islands but not the hellish long drive to the mainland.

One of my favourite quotes....
We've been to the original Key West Marquaritaville with the fake Jimmy Buffet, the one in New Orleans, and a few more or less bad copies. To us it's always 5 o'clock.

I kind of thought anyone coming to this thread would remember the Andy Griffith Show so when I saw this photo, thought I would share....maybe a tad cynical??

[/QUOTE Gooooolly this does make sense. Yet marriege to a few is a blessing. My wife made a smart choice.

Yes, it is. But it sure was better when we'd jump in the car, RV, or pick up and be at nearby Cedar Key or a little longer drive the real Florida Keys. Never a dull moment.
Most people don't realize there are other Keys...Islands.. around La Florida.
I remember just like it was last week.

Hi guys. Haven't been here in awhile. Life has been crazy. But glad you all are doing well

That is a great area too... First time I ever visited Florida was to the Tampa area with some friends way back when... We loved Clearwater Beach, but it was sure not as built up as it is now..

I live south county more down beach towards the Skyway.
Clearwater Beach is way too busy and crowded.

Yep so much to see and by car or RV it's easier to have more time to explore.

Andy Griffith? Too easy! Let's see how many remember Sky King! Or Lassie... or F troop... or the giant squid eating the sub every week on Voyage to the bottom of the sea, just before they sent that electrical pulse through the hull that magically cured everything.... or should I go on?

Grow older, but not up! Always enjoy life and age becomes irrelevant! Have a wonderful weekend all !!

I streamed the Jimmy Buffet concert from Wrigley Field last night and got to thinking about his quotes that are appropriate for this thread"

"I'm growing older but not up, my metabolic rate is pleasently stuck, so let the winds of change blow over my head, I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead."

"Go fast enough to get there, but slow enough to see, moderation seems to be the key."

"Lust for the future, but treasure the past."

and a favourite:

"We are the people they couldn't figure out, we are the people our parents warned us about."

I have the DVD from a concert he did there.

I think I need to hunt that down today and watch. :nana:

That's the best thing I've seen today

I recently finished reading his book A Pirate Looks at 50, it's hard to believe it's been almost 20 years since he wrote it, so much of what he says is still relevant.
