Great thread, thanks for starting it...I HATE calling myself "senior," although one day, I will probably get used to it. Glad you STARTED the age range with 40! I'm 61, most days I feel about 23, my current g/f (not really a g/f, we hang out and fuck sometimes), calls me 14, because that's pretty much where my humor lies...
As far as being the oldest one in the room, I was out with a 30 years old woman (not dating, just a friend), the subject came up of Al Pacino, and the Godfather films. She says, without a HINT of guilt or shame: "I've never seen any of the Godfather films." Huh? That's when I knew...
Wow hon... that is awesome... I love Teachers... I had a few that made a huge impact on my life. And you make greeting cards??? Wow that is cool. Do you have a website to see some of your work?
Some of my cards are here. I'm lazy about uploading cards.

WOW THOSE ARE GREAT... Very Talented...
Thank you! I actually started making cards in kindergarten. As a teacher I had my kids make Mother's Day cards. My last school was a math, science and technology school and I taught my kids to make cards in the computer lab. I'd even let them make birthday cards for family members in class. The good part was that they didn't have to make up the work the missed. To me, a 7th or 8th grader who wanted to make a birthday card for their grandfather, was more important than anything I had to teach.
Well I am very impressed... very very talented...
It's fun! In the first Yahoo card group I joined, they did RAKs - random act of kindness cards. It was really weird because you'd make a card and send it off and learn later that the person was going through a difficult time and the card cheered them up. I send cards to high school/college classmates and a lot of the kids I taught. One group, now 51, show the cards and tell their friends that their kindergarten teacher made it. I taught them in other grades, but it's more fun to say my kindergarten teacher. Invariably the person says, "She's still alive?"
LOL..... Well I think it is awesome. There was this guy I knew, who was a greeting card buyer. He bought them in bulk... and everyone he knew got cards... for all occasion and just to say I was thinking about you. It is a lost art and glad you are keeping it alive.
This weekend I finished a card for a college friend. She's having a lot of little health issues. I didn't mail the card because one of my high school friends had a stroke, so she got it. One former co-worker asked me why I spent so much time and money on making cards. She never got another one!!! I send my students wedding and baby shower gifts all the time. I explain to them that Karma works both ways.
You are a really cool person.. hon... I had no idea what you do to bless others... Life is just too short and people hurt in so many ways and you take that gift and talent you have to make a persons day better and that is a rare gift... HUGS
There are so many people who shower others with kindness and joy. They never get any air time because the bad gets all the press. I've had someone pay my check at a restaurant more than once. It always comes as a surprise. If we all tried to do one nice thing for someone every once in a while, the world would be a kinder gentler place. It can be something as simple as holding a door for someone we can make a difference.
Well saidI feel the same way.
Hi thread, btw- clocking in at 42, I certainly feel senior some days, with the risk of peeing when I sneeze, my knees hurting esp in the winter, and often forgetting the name of an object I'm asking for or talking aboutHope everyone has a great weekend!

Yes, it's all the little things in life that make it worth living...
Except when it comes to a penis!
How about something that stays hard ?
A pencil, perhaps?
More useful than something you can swing over your shoulder...unless you'regoing zip lining...
