Senior Moments

You are a sweetheart! Nice to see you around :)

I think that I am waaaaayyyy too young (I have to keep up the illusion that I am just a baby around here :) ) for this thread though. Okay, I MAY be closer to one of those numbers you have at the beginning that I want to admit.

Always nice to see kindness in here.

Hope life treats you well in the new year!:kiss:

One - really do not care about the age it is more of a maturity level with me. Age is a number... (So I keep telling myself - inside I am still in my 30s).

You are the of the very ones I have wanted to reconnect to. I am so glad you came in.

I noticed that too. Before I took my long break, the 'intellectual' threads were popular. You know, the A,B,C threads, 10 letter words and geography stuff. That's how I built my post count so quickly. One could make 100 posts in an hour because there were 5 or 6 people playing.

What I dislike the most are the people who don't follow the guidelines of the thread. If it says A-B-C then stick to alphabetical order. If you want to flirt and can't make it fit, send a PM.

Sometimes the sex gets to be a bit much, but then I remember that Lit is about sex. I don't complain.

Well my sweet lady you are always welcome here.... If you want to talk in ABC you go right ahead...

Im in my 40s i feel old already

Well, I know how that feels till I hit 60 and damn! LOL

I have my good days and bad... you just got to keep moving. Old Dick Van Dyke is in his 90s and still dancing. And his new book is called... Just Keep Moving... It's true. I walk close to 3-5 miles a day in my job and I walk fast not slow. Now at the end of the day I move slow... lol...

By the way, we have talked before... You're in England and have written a lot of stories. Nice that you came by. Hope you stick around.

Hope you all have a safe New Years. Staying home. Raining turning to sleet and snow. Just gonna chill at home.

Happy New Year, sweet Spenser! I'm staying home too - my party days are long gone, thank goodness. (Well, there may be one at the cottage here in a little while. ;)) I'm about a month away from my last day at work myself. I have all sorts of ideas floating around in my head about what I'll do, but I'll decide day by day, I imagine. For right now, I'm just really looking forward to it.

Until a few minutes ago, I'd planned to go out. I live in Grand Center neighborhood and 10 floors below me is a jazz lounge/wine bar/photo gallery. I spent NYE there last year and it was great. I knew the musicians who were playing and the servers. A lot of regulars stopped in.

I'm of the "in for the night" crowd too! Already in my jammies even - curled up in my corner of the couch with my blanket. Probably the only reason I'll even stay up is that I have to go pick a teenager up from her party...sigh...I've reached that point in my life that my kids have more of a social life than I do.

Kind of forced into early retirement At 51. Was doing yard work in August and thought I had stepped on a stump as I had a bruise on my left instep. Turned out not to be a bruise and a week later I lost my left leg Due to surprise!! diabetes. Used to do computer repairs but now have neuropathy in my hands so I have a hard time picking things up and holding on to them.

Did you go or did those few minutes make the difference?

Did everyone make it through the evening without after effects this morning?

Oh that sounds cool.... I would love to go to a place like that.

Oh man I am so sorry. I also have diabetics and I used to be having it in good control but lately I kind of just gave up on the foods.. but plan on doing better this year. I see a lot of people at the hospital that are forced into early retirement due to health. I hope you can find something you can do to enjoy life...

It's affected .y hands as well. I have neuropathy so hard to pick things up or hold onto them. Add to that advanced stage 4 kidney disease they found a week after I moved back to Arizona.

My experience is similar to this, except mine was a work-related knee and ankle injury. Mostly all of my significant work history involved using physical strength and/or lots of activity, often repetitive. Anyway, I'd love to be able to homestead somewhere and take care of the farm. However, I spend my days happily trying to keep breathing, eating, drinking and smiling as best I can, happy to be able to pay the rent.
Happy New Year, yeah? (risking ad-nauseum eye rolls, here )

"...clap along if you know... " :cattail:
