Does anyone know how to send a video via e-mail to someone? Or is there a safe website "locked" to be able to view videos of someone. I have a PC they have a Mac, I have heard this is one problem. Also what file should I save it under? Is there a time or length it should stay under?

Thanks for any help.

Tap...tap....Is thing on?
You can't tell me you all havent sent a video to someone before.
Really? No one has answers for me. :(
I thought there were some computer ppl out there.
I could use any help anyone might have.

Patience, Grasshopper. This forum gets less traffic than, say, the GB, and it's an almost-summer Saturday evening, so it's not really fair to expect a bunch of replies in a little more than an hour. Showing impatience or appearing demanding generally doesn't exactly get people excited about responding to you either; you may want to keep that in mind in the future.

Anyway, I haven't sent videos for quite sometime, but when I did in the past, I used a free filedrop service. You basically upload your file and send the intended recipient an invitation to retrieve it. You can find such services here.

The Mac person should be able to view a variety of file types by using a universal player or converting the file you send them. For instance, I view .avi videos frequently on both our Linux and Windows computers - that's a pretty standard file format for quality video.

Consider a Gmail Account?

Dear Kitty,

Create a gmail account (mail.google.com)

Add the video to your documents folder.

Then grant your friend access to the document. Per google it is 'sharing'

Thank you SweetErika :) Sorry, sometimes I get in a hurry. :( I will take my punishments later. I dont have much time right now.....lol

Thanks RJ. GMail account...hhhmmm didnt know this was an option on there. How do I grant my friend access to that document and that document only? Can anyone get access to my document that way? Can they access more then one?

You have me paranoid now!! You know I use to have a twitter account but I canceled it, I felt like people were following me......uuugghhh!..:)

PC vs. Mac doesn't matter, as long as both ends have a player that will view whatever the file type that is sent. I'm a HUGE fan of VLC, which is a free video viewer that works on both systems just fine and will view far more formats and qualities of format than any other viewer I've ever used.

Case in point, I'll watch a vid which gets saved to cache as just a number. All I do is add ".wmv" to the end of the file name and it turns it into a video file. Most other readers won't touch it, but VLC has absolutely no problems with it what so ever.

I believe that the ".wmv" format is the smaller of the vid formats out there, so that's what I'd recommend if you have a choice of which format to save as.

File sizes that you can send/receive will depend on the quality of the internet connection on both ends of the transmission. For instance, I have DSL. When I had the slower rate, I could only send files of about 10mb. I now have faster DSL and can send up to 15 or 16mb files. If I had cable or a T1 line I could probably double or triple the size file I send.

One other thing that bears mentioning.

Once a file leaves your possession, you no longer have control over who sees that file, so I wouldn't recommend posting personal images/vids, particularly erotica anywhere online. Even emailing leaves a copy of your message on cyberspace servers in perpetuity, for anyone who has access to those servers to enjoy. I'm not saying don't do it, just be cautious about it.

Second item is that if you take images or movies with a cell phone, the phone will likely imprint the file with all your personal data, e.g., location, name, phone number, etc. You're supposed to be able to turn this feature on/off as you like, but I personally don't trust such things.
