Sending a message via the chat profile

I tried to send myself a message from my chat profile, I just wanted to see if it worked as I have sent other people messages from there before and suspected they may never have been delivered.

As you can see, it says it was successfully delivered so I must ask where it was delivered. It's not in my PM's and it's not in my email.

As far as I can tell, the "Chat Profile" is your usual Lit profile. In that case, messages sent through the contact form would arrive at the email address they used to create that account.

No, it's not in that email. I just checked that my profile still has the correct email and it does.

Yeah, Okay, I just tried it myself. There seems to be something broken. I can't send myself feedback through my profile page either anymore. The email just doesn't arrive. Not in SPAM either.

Do you have it set to be able to send you an email in your settings? Or it might be that it will not allow you to send one to yourself maybe?

I don't allow anonymous feedback, but all that does is that I need to enter a reply-address in order to send the feedback.
I also have tried it after setting it up that way, and it worked in the past.

Anyway, I do get a success-message from the site after submitting the form, so I would expect it to actually be sent.

The reason I did send to myself was because I have sent to other people and they have never responded. If you look at my first post you can see that the system says it was successfully sent. What I will do now is send one to @OverconfidentSarcasm and he can inform us if it works.

I did try and send one to Princess Consuela Banana-Hammock first but her feedback is blocked. Also please note the email I used to circumvent the onerous feedback requirements is a fake address.

As far as I can tell...that 'feedback' messaging system does not work, has never worked for me through the several years I have been on Lit. I have sent messages to various people, never got a reply. Sent messages to myself, nothing ever arrived. It would be interesting to hear from anyone who has had a success with that system feature.

My account on this site isn't even two years old and, in that time, I got multiple messages through that feature. Authors asking me to clarify a comment I made, Authors being butthurt about a comment I made, other users asking where to find my stories, and I used it myself to contact authors directly. It definitely worked!

Last time I received an answer from an author after using the feedback feature was in late May. Don't know if that's when it broke, though, because that's also the last time used it.

Luckily, someone seems to have followed the thread, as half a dozen feedback messages just arrived in my mailbox about thirty minutes ago.
And there's a reason my title message says "illiterate".

Guess I now stand corrected: today I received a 'Contact' feedback message that I had sent to myself yesterday, using the email I have set up for Literotica. I had tried that in the past without success, but as others have posted, it may have been broken then fixed only recently. Good to know, thanks to the OP for bringing this up.

A slight addendum. So far, the several messages I have sent to myself using that 'Contact' feedback on my profile have all taken about four (4!) days to arrive in my ISP inbox. I wonder if they are 'screened' or something?

I am a new user and am testing this, too, because I haven't been getting any email alerts at all. I sent myself a message through Contact yesterday and then again this morning, then I found this thread. I guess I'll see if they ever come through.
