Oh dandy.Nothing too outrageous.
It was long but now it's looking up!
I hope you slept well..![]()

Actually, I've been sleeping too well lately. Last night I slept 12 hours, went to my seminar, came back and slept another 5 hours, and I still feel like I could nap (blah blah advanced notice blah blah). I really don't know what's wrong =\.
You definitely do. A long list, actually.![]()
...sleep apnea? I'm not sure, buuuuut maybe you should consult with a Dr?
Aw dear...the blushing has been in full force today.
Are you feeling any better?
Oh has it?Well, that's certainly a nice image. I'm sure that I could have a lot of fun making you blush.......
Much, much worse actually. Speaking of consulting with doctors, guess where I'm going this morning?![]()

Eep! Then why are you still awake?! To bed with you!
I'm the exact same way. Haven't been to a GP in about 7 years, and once tried to basically walk off a fracture in my foot. Thankfully, some friends basically kidnapped me and saved me from my own stupidity.I feel like if I had sleep apnea, it would have manifested itself at some point before now? And you really have no idea how bad something has to be for me to go to the doctors.

That's why I'm still awake. Hard to sleep when you almost can't breath and can't stop coughing and sneezing.
That said, despite the physical misery, I'm in a fabulous mood.
Edit:

Oh dear, I'm sorry. That sounds pretty miserable![]()

Bah. Misery be damned. I'm not letting this great mood go to waste! So, I'm talking to an incredibly cute girl, having a little music binge, and cuddling with the puppy. Pretty damn close to ideal, if you ask me.![]()
I think the last time I went was a few years ago while I was working at a summer camp. After about a week of hacking and feeling kind of tired (though continuing to do things like play soccer for 2 hours straight with high schoolers), I finally went to the doctor. Apparently I had pneumonia that was so severe that only one lung was functional, and I got sent to the hospital for x-rays, stat.

Mmm that does sound pretty idealI'm sorry I can't instantly make it better though. I hope the Dr. appt goes well tomorrow!
boys.![]()
You may not be fixing my lungs, but you're certainly making me feel better.![]()
Men, dear. Men.![]()
Damn..... Ok, single lung beats foot fracture in the great rock-paper-scissors of life. That's..... actually pretty scary.
No, I meant what I said.Contrary to popular belief...I prefer to think that men know how to take care of themselves, and can bow to their moments of physical illness by knowing they'll be healthier sooner if they actually pay attention to their bodies.

*shrug* It didn't seem that bad. I got my x-rays, got a prescription for some anti-biotics, and was back to campus by the time work started. Only other good story I can think of is when I got sliced open by a skate (http://www11.brinkster.com/dilksy/bloody.jpg), and didn't bother getting stitches or anything (FWIW, that picture was taken a good 3 or so hours after then incident).
Yikes. Lucky the tendon didn't get nicked or severed. How many times have we seen that happen over the last couple years?![]()
Ahhh.... Fair enough. At the same time though, most guys will at least resist the idea of seeking help, at least to a point. They may know that they should go, and they'll give in after a certain period of time, but most men won't just immediately say "Oh, that doesn't feel very good. Better go to the doctor." There will almost always be a period of resistance.
The reason it takes me forever to actually go to the doctor is because I know that 90% of the time they're going to prescribe an antibiotic for a virus (yes, I know the reasoning. That doesn't make it feel any less stupid), tell me to get plenty of rest, and drink a lot of fluids. Well thanks, jackass. I should have just stayed on my couch.![]()
I'm not sure, exactly, what you base this belief upon. Men are strangely dense at times. For example, I had a UTI but, because I didn't know anything about them, or what the symptoms were, it turned into a terrible kidney infection that turned out to cause problems for many years after.
Of course, that was at a time when I had no health insurance, and going to see a doctor would have prevented me from paying rent, or buying food. So, it seemed sensible to ignore what seemed at the time to be trivial symptoms.
In hindsight, of course, had I gone right away I would have avoided huge quantities of pain, many uncomfortable procedures, and reduced the costs for care significantly.
Live and learn.
Alright both of you, I actually have lived amongst males in my lifetime but thank you for your words and contextual situations.
And with that, good night![]()
Hey, no offense intended. And look, I am going to the doctor first thing in morning, so obviously you have a point. All I meant is that most guys will at least delay for a bit.
Sleep well.![]()
...at 2ish am...all bets are off regarding my behavior...
