Selecting / deselecting reading list in bookmarks not working?

This morning I'm seeing odd behaviour for the bookmark list for stories. This is happening if I pop-up the list for a story from the story page itself, or from the story item on a Tags portal display.

If I pop up bookmark list and unselect one, it looks like it is cleared and while I don't refresh the page all looks good. However, if I then refresh the page and look at the bookmark list again, it has re-appeared. However, if I go to the reading list that I had unmarked, the story no longer appears to be there.

Doing the opposite, i.e. selecting a reading list then refreshing the page, initially shows the bookmark ticked but then shows it cleared on refreshing. However this time if I check the reading list itself, the story appears, but the bookmark list that is popped up doesn't show it as ticked. I have to use the option to remove the story from the reading list page in order for it to disappear.

I am having the same issue. Started yesterday AM Dallas time. Error Message to the effect "server error".

this "upgrade" should have been tested a lot more before beeing implemented. it works pretty bad :-(

Bump - Hay tech support - please fix the issue regarding setting/unsettling flags.

I'm my case I use the flags to indicate if I have read the story and how I ranked it. This issue also impacts the "favorite" flag.

Favourites in general has become squirrelly. It's a challenge to get the exact set or circumstances.

It seems that the flag is set but not shown at the story level but if you go to the list associated with the flag the story is listed and the flag marker is set.

You can't unset the flag, you have to mark the story to be removed and then click the remove button.

FWIW, the automatic series feature seems to have been tuned up. We have stories starting with the characters "Benefactor: 0" and then the sequence number and the actual title. The second was published this morning, and it's already a series. It wasn't instantaneous before.

Tech support is literally one guy (Manu) who has done almost everything tech related with this site since founding. With only one person doing pretty much everything, you'll need to be patient about a fix

One, single person does literally everything tech related for this site, honestly. I don't think they have the budget or ability to do much testing. It's not like Lit has any sort of QA team testing for bugs...

Which is fair enough, but you'd really hope they're using some kind of source control system for code changes, in which case it should be a simple case of rolling back to the code before it broke. This has been ongoing since at least 3rd October, so nearly three weeks now. And it's not like it's some obscure feature on the site - Reading Lists is one of the main links on a user's home page.

Thats not an Excuse, thats a problem! What happens if he gets hit by a bus?
I am pretty sure there are a bunch of tech savey people on here that would like to help, but it seams like he/they dont want the help.
