Do you have them?

The BIG ones...not the little "things you don't know about me" type.

Do you tell them? Would you tell them?

I have a couple that I will NEVER tell. EVER. Too much at stake.

How about you?

I have several and I have told them to one person. Just as I know all of his deep dark secrets he'd never share with anyone else.

I doubt that I'll ever have that sort of relationship again.. we were so close and trusted each other with so much.

*thinks*

Nope. I'll pretty much admit anything if it's to people who are close to me.

I have some secrets that I can't tell due to oaths and stuff like that. Some that I would never tell because they could be very harmful to certain parties, and a few that keep me from being embarrassed.

If one knows it is a secret, if more know...no secret no more.

Just to play  's advocate, would you not tell as sort of a stand-off....cause he could tell your secrets too?

Open and honest to the people closest to you...good idea. ;)

Very true. One of my secrets became public knowledge due to the other person telling "just one trustworthy person". Grrrrrrrrr

I only share the really big ones with my closest homegirls. While I can't figure out how everyone else finds out, they're very good secret-keepers.

I understand what you're saying... but it goes far beyond that.

We respect and love each other too much to ever purposefully hurt each other.. we've had huge fights and not spoken for months but we've never sold the other out.

He's the only one that I've ever truly allowed in.. and vice versa.

I need some homegirls like that. ;)

Sounds like a true friendship. But he's no longer?

I'm an open book. Keeping secrets takes too much energy.

You're right - that's why I only have 2, and they're way in the past.
And that's where they'll stay.....

Circumstances caused our relationship to change from one of a romantic couple status to simply friendship, for now.

He's still my best friend.. but he's out of the country right now so we haven't been able to talk in over a month.

Sounds good - at least you still have him. I lost my "best friend" over fundamental differences that we never ironed out and even 3 years later, I still miss her.

Actually, if NO ONE knows then it is a secret...tell even one...and it is no longer a secret.

What if, say hypothetically, other people knew, but then say, again hypothetically, they all had "unfortunate accidents." Is it still a secret if, hypothetically, the "unfortunate accidents" were arranged before they could tell the proper authorities.

I really need to know.

I really need to know.

Hypothetically, of course, it's still a secret no matter when the "unfortunate accidents" occured, as long as the proper authorities weren't contacted.

Now you know.
