I can see plenty of ways that this story can work. Either there is something between them and wife is finds out or doesn't, or the wife's suspicions leader to start being either competitive or leave her man.

Certainly there are many potential stories here. I wasn't sure if this thread was a story idea (since previous threads started by the OP were moved to Fetish). The first thing that came to my mind was the US Cellular commercial where the one girl is talking about werewolves, about being extra hairy and too hot, and wishing to be a human again... And the spokesman's reply to her was a simple, baffled "what?" lol

I like the idea of the wife getting increasingly jealous over little tiny things and unlike in most stories she responds by getting more sexually promisciuos. Like she walks in and finds the secretary is bent over picking up a pen or her tray at lunch and her hubby casually glances in her direction just for a moment. The wife responds by showing up the next day to take him to lunch wearing a micro skirt (maybe they're daughter's) and makes certain not only that she give him an eyeful but that she does it someplace where she can strut past the secretary and give her the stink eye.

I haven't decided if the Sec is actually hitting on him or not but it needs to be obvious that the man is either not interested or doesn't notice at all. I know plenty of guys who are completely oblivious to that kind of thing. A girl can practically be in his lap nuzzling his neck and he's just vaguely uncomfortable.

Maybe he can't for any number of reasons. Maybe she's not his secretary so much as the secretary. Like he's one of a dozen or more lawyers who share an office. That's how it is a lot of times where I live since Lawyers don't actually spend a lot of time in the office but they need the professionality of a front and a place to meet clients, they'll share and schedule around each other. It just makes life easier all around.

Maybe the wife for as mad as she feels won't admit it to her husband for one reason or another.

Some thoughts on this subject.

Wife is suspicious: high-flyer husband has attractive young secretary whom he takes for multi-day business trips often (giving her valid business needs), often works overtime, not too much and/or dwindling interest in wife (sexually at least).

Wife hires PI to stake them out. PI can't find much at first but then wife and PI end up having a relationship.

In the end PI finds out relation husband/secretary is pure business, wife feels terribly ashamed as her "revenge" turns out to be the "plain cheating" she suspected her husband of.
