I have just being wandering around Second Life for a few hours and was disappointed that Literotica did not return any search results.

Could someone let me know if there is a author hangout anywhere?

If not may I suggest "The Three Lions" at Bourton.

Very new to second life so that may be a poor location but seems like an idea to meet up somewhere!

erm... could you explain a bit more please?

I have no idea what second life is. Nor do I know where/what Bourton is, although The Three Lions sounds like a pub and I'm all for pubs.

Second life is basically a virtual reality world. You can visit there, "live" there, make friends and enemies, even open your own business and make money with that.

That's how I understand it, at least, as I've never actually played second life. I have my hands full with the first life.

Three Lions is in fact a song, sung by Baddiel, Skinner and the Lighting Seeds. It is a good one as it can be felt in the soul.

Unfortunately, as near as I can tell, Second life is a PC/Windows phenomena only.

Also, from what I understand, Second Life is having the usual libertarian's dilemma. How do you control the immoral and vicious in a society without recourse to the law, that is government? Or without resorting to the unethical person's tools? Which doesn't solve the problem, it just makes it worse.

I downloaded second life about a year ago, messed around for about 20 minutes, and deleted the program a few months later for hard drive space.

It's one of the many things in recent years that has made me feel "old" (i.e. not a teen/college kid anymore). I'm perfectly happy with message boards, instant messaging and livejournal for online communications.

I suppose it didn't help that while my now 5 year old PC could run it, it ran pretty choppy.
