Second Life?

A friend here told me about it. Second Life I'm just getting ready to install the program and was wondering if anyone here played there? I'll need tips to get started and where to go to have fun. It looks like it's lots of fun. If it's like the Sims, I know it will be very addictive. If I like it well enough, I'll probably upgrade from the free account.
