I cannot believe how many people do not wear seat belts. A guy crashed around here and was ejected. They couldn't find him. He was wedged under a tree, and they had to cut the tree down to extricate his dead body. People have NO IDEA the magnitude of forces applied during even a minor crash. Also Airbags work in conjunction with seat belts. Getting ejected in a crash is the worst case scenario.

Yes I agree. Can't tell you how many wrecks I have worked and they would have (likely) not been hurt as badly had they been wearing one, or would have likely survived a fatal accident

From time to time I sit in my front garden looking at the sea across the road. I watch cars too and some days I count the number of people not wearing seat belts - about 25 %. Many of those are also talking on their handheld phone. Because it is a seaside road, many pedestrians cross between teh parked cars - an accident waiting to happen.
