Hello
I'm looking for a scifi story which takes place on a another planet where women became rare as it plays several years after the colony ships arrived. it is quite post apocolyptic.
The protagonist's mother dies long ago and he has step brothers and a step father (who hates him). He is not happy with the "cast system" that got established and tries to build a home outside the colony, even though it is forbidden (there a re intelligent nonhuman locals on the planet, no contact to the colony) as he wants to be free.
But primitive aliens or better said the locals found the hideout and destroyed it, he then kills most of them except the female he find later, the story progresses from there.
Anyone knows the title?
