Okay, so now that this painful debacle is over, let's tally it up shall we?

Number of times Biden slurred his speech: 257.

Number of times Trump effectively dodged the question, or answered an entirely different question than what was asked: 42

Number of times Biden almost put me to sleep: 15

Number of times Trump said something that was either a complete fabrication or an utter lie: 290

Number of times Biden uh, like, stuttered and couldn't think of the right word: 77

Number of times Trump talked about the border issue (whether or not the question actually had anything to do with that) 102.

The Verdict: Two takeaways from this whole thing were:

1) Biden obviously is not a good public speaker. He's just...not.
2) Trump is a complete blow-hard and tends to talk out of his ass, often with a complete disregard to the actual question being asked.

The scoring system works, each point above counts against the candidate in their final score so obviously, lowest score wins.

Tallying everything up, the score is: Biden 349, Trump 434. So, Biden wins, but seriously, dude...take some public speaking lessons. You were killing me up there.

Some brief research shows that out of our general population, approximately 152 million men and women meet the requirements to run for the Office of the Presidency based on age, birth, and citizenship. [Even a convicted criminal can run.]

How is it that of all those able-bodied women and men, we have two geriatric gentlemen struggling and competing for the position? Neither is truly desired by those who will cast ballots in November. Though one is more honorable than the other.

Is the nation so poor in intellect, or are the families' breadwinners too busy working the fields that s/he have no time to govern, and thus it falls to the elderly porch-rockers to attempt governance?

Where are the benign intellectuals who ought to run and rule dispassionately and justly in the governance of a mighty nation and beacon of light for all nations?

In a democracy with a free press you get the politicians the owners of the free press let you have.

Sane people don’t run for public office. That’s something that only egomaniacs aspire to.

“Benign intellectuals” are by definition not egomaniacs.
