Scientific Cunt Thread

Actually there might be a reason. Check out this wikipedia article, about "skene's glands" (now also being called "female prostate".

It's possible that stretching the inner labia might also stretch and enlarge this gland-- give it more interior volume-- and also might open the ducts a little more.

Only my opinion, no medical knowledge avowed!

That's a pretty fascinating idea, Stella. Of course, from the pics I've seen, the women who are ejaculating are coming in liters, but those have to be staged. There's just no place to store all that fluid in the human body.

Getting more scientific, though, the Wicki article says this:

The fluid that emerges during female ejaculation has a composition similar to the fluid generated in males by the prostate gland,[6] containing biochemical markers of sexual function like Human Protein 1[7] and the enzyme PDE5. When examined with electron microscopy, both glands show similar secretory structures,[8] and both act similarly in terms of prostate-specific antigen and prostate-specific acid phosphatase studies.[9][10][11][12] Because they are increasingly perceived as merely different versions of the same gland, some researchers are moving away from the name Skene's gland and referring to it instead as the female prostate.

That's pretty damned interesting. It doesn't say whether Skene's gland is plumbed like the prostate but it must be. What function could it be serving in females? Just more mad scientist fodder?

Yeah, I've never seen a man come in liters either! But it doesn't have to serve any function at all, you know. All it has to do is not kill women before they are of baby-making age and it gets a free ride.

Anyway, in my own experience, the g spot feels just like a prostate to my fingers. And it will swell and get thicker when it's stroked, just like a prostate. (Start gently, okay guys?)

Getting curious about all of this, I went searching for info about the big nerve that ends in the clitoris--and found that wikipedia uses a diagram for men's anatomy to illustrate the clitoral nerve.

Some further searching-- cause, you know when you should be writing... anyway, I found an excellent article http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg15921455.500
that had some amazing information about what the clitoral organ actually is. Amazing! Now I'm trying to find more about this.

Here's the transcript of an interview with Dr. O"Connell. There's a picture about halfway down which kinda shows where the parts of the clitoris go-- I had to stare at it for a bit before i understood what I was looking at.

Wimmins is so mysterious... or else I need new glasses. ;)

This article ticked me off the wrong way.

Ultrasound nails location of the elusive G spot

So Jannini's team took a different approach, and used vaginal ultrasound to scan the entire urethrovaginal space - the area of tissue between the vagina and urethra thought to house the G spot (see Diagram). The team scanned nine women who said they had vaginal orgasms and 11 who said they didn't. They found that tissue in the urethrovaginal space was thicker in the first group of women (Journal of Sexual Medicine, DOI: 10.1111/j.1743-6109.2007.00739.x). This means, says Jannini, that "women without any visible evidence of a G spot cannot have a vaginal orgasm".

Gee, where did the anterior fornix go? Isn't it inside the vagina too? Scientists annoy me: you CAN'T have an orgasm if you don't have something she can measure. How many women did she look at, a billion?

Another possibility is that the women who experienced vaginal orgasms had learned to do so through practice, which has altered their anatomy, much like exercising a muscle makes it grow, says Leonore Tiefer, a psychiatrist at New York University School of Medicine. "The research would be much stronger if women without vaginal orgasm were taught how to have this experience and then repeated measurements were taken of the urethral-vaginal area," she says. "Of course this would involve teaching their partners a great deal." She would also have liked to see more extensive questioning of the women to fully understand their sexual practices.

Gee, this is the one sane conclusion on this article, and she but brushed it...

If she does, it may even be possible to increase its size using testosterone, which both the clitoris and Skene's glands can respond to. This could increase sexual responsiveness, but could be dangerous in women with normal testosterone levels. Jannini is running a trial in post-menopausal women and those who have experienced early menopause to see if testosterone treatment can increase the size of the G spot as measured by vaginal ultrasound.

God forbid one woman would have to learn about herself, to be -gaah- sexually educated, or worse, teach her partner. Why do that if we can give her a spritz of male hormones instead.

Lloyd thinks Jannini's findings could make it harder to promote the idea that women who find it difficult to orgasm are suffering from some kind of sexual dysfunction, as it suggests there are physiological differences between women. "The wide variability among women in their patterns of sexual response has made the pharmaceutical industry's challenge all the greater," she says. "If this research holds up, they would need to be very clear in marketing any product they eventually come up with."

Oh what a pity you won't be able to sell anything!

Sorry, Stella, I wouldn't trust a doctor who spells 'women' 'wimmins'. And the picture that so confused you looks to me to be a common-or-garden wink smiley.

Same function as male nipples: just for fun.

Located where? There are so many different opinions. Personally, I think there is something that swells like that at the back of the vagina -- not near the clitoris at all. And stimulating that whatever it is seems to have an effect. But this article seems to put the g-spot at the other end.

At least with the last woman I was with, her's was pretty easy to find, whatever you want to call it. I have no clue what a prostate feels like, so can't compare. Felt like a small lump, and moved with the level of arousal (closer to the entrance the more aroused she was).

Thanks to long fingers, I would often have the thumb on the clit, middle finger on the g spot, and pinky stimluting the anus. She seemed to enjoy it.

That one in the back is probably the anterior fornix ("A-spot"), not the G-spot.

Thank you Sub Joe, for pasting a wonderful, informative, educational and stimulating article.

Much appreciated.

I believe that would be the cervix.

I never know whether cervix is included at Hooters

Do they serve imported beers there?

The G-spot is on the frontal wall, and it's generally just about at fingertip depth. Proof that Mother nature likes lesbians, if you ask me

I think fingers have eveloved there size and shape primary for nostrils, and the cunt-hole is just a happy coincidence.
