Wish it had worked out to be Outlaw, or Blinding White, though. Those are both far stronger stories overall. Aaron is a strong character, and Nathifa's freedom is powerful, but the rest of the story just isn't as strong as the previous two. Those are tight, with far deeper atmosphere.

Danielle is in the running, but there's no way that chapter of mine is even going to come close.

Yeah, but it seems a lot of the people voting aren't going as much for the plot as the intensity...Aaron is simple to hate and there's lots of great sex...the complexity that we like so much is a hinderance with a lot of readers...

Lots more name recognition for the others, too. I can count the people who read me regularly, and visit the forums, on the fingers of one shop-teacher's hand. ( three fingers, max *laugh* )

I'm just waiting for Lit to hurry up and post my ED story, already. Flash inspiration story, much like Outlaw, and I really like it. Went from idea to finished in half a day. Looks like even contest stories are subject to the "toss a bone and go to bed" common with new stories on Sunday

The final chapter to Laresa is not the easiest to write. lol. . . I work a little more on it every day or so, but I don't want to over panic by trying to produce it all in one sitting.

It's more difficult because the emotions have to, in my opinion, be intense. I feel I can do intense, I just need to make it all make sense. lol.

Guys, it's coming together. I think I'll have this finished in another day or two. I know it's been a long time coming and I thank you both for all the patience you've showed with me. It was a struggle and though they say, "Don't count your chickens before they hatch." I am counting, because I finally feel this taking off the way I need it to. Thanks again.

Anybody else seeing the small font stuff in sigs and at the bottom of some Lit pages coming up in really huge fonts instead ( IE only - don't see it in firefox )

Or has my boy been monkeying with stuff again by random button presses?

I noticed that in a story recently, half the font was small, then down the page it was larger, then the next page it was small again.

The only thing I don't have updated yet are my and Danielle's Finalist nominations for the Chain Stories R.C.

I forgot, actually *laugh* I'll update that later this afternoon. I'm on vacaction, and finding that it's making me lazy, rather than productive.

EDIT: Correction, I got off my lazy hinder and updated the links, changing the text to reflect the finalist status.

I'll be changing it again before too much longer to reflect Danielle's decisive victory
