As a kid I remember "Frankenstein" giving me nightmares

And "The Birds" still makes me leery of gathering flocks on the telephone wires and fences

The Exorcist... but the book was even scarier....

No kidding. I read that book at night and was almost afraid to turn out the light. I kept hearing stuff out in the hall.

I thought the first "Halloween" movie was pretty scary — at least the first time I saw it.
My interest in "The Ring" has been piqued. I'll have to rent the DVD.

The Ring was the first movie in a long time to scare me. Although I still think the original "Night of the Living Dead" and "Last House of the Left" are just plain disturbing.
