Was Tony Montana's interest in his sister more of a brotherly, protective love or more incestuous in nature (as the final moments of the movie suggested)?
Discuss.
When I first watched the movie over a year ago, I initially thought it was sexual interest and jealousy. But after thinking over the plot for a day or so, I came to believe that Tony, the hard-assed drug lord, saw his sister as the single most pure thing in his life and that he wanted to protect that purity for his own selfish reasons.
When he saw Gina snorting up with her date in the bathroom at the nightclub and went ballistic, IMO he was reacting to her getting involved with drugs (and starting the downward spiral to his level) rather than because she was with someone other than him. However, the part when Tony flipped out and killed Manny after seeing his sister near naked in his friend's house isn't so clear to me.
Thoughts?
