One 72-year-old man who reported chatting with a “beautiful” woman on the site was scammed out of $21,000. His complaint ends with, “I haven’t told my wife about this blunder. She still doesn’t know about it.” Another person in their 60s said they lost $500,000 to scammers on Truth Social and seemed to think there might be a way they could get their money back, telling the FTC, “After I pay this they promise there will be no more fees and I will receive my assets.”

This sounds like shooting fish in a barrel, it used to be that scammers had to work to find the marks. Nowadays they are presented to the world by the Grifter-In-Chief.

I’m just picturing Stephen Miller in the dark at his computer in a dress with his drag make-up on trying to scam all of these old white geezers that are only on “Truth” Sociopath so they can whack off to pictures of Melanie being best.

It's sad, these people are so dumb that if you told them there was no such word as 'gullible' in the dictionary they'd take your word for it.

But love the comments:
"A target rich environment for people who are easy to con'.
"Who wouldn't fish in waters where the fish are jumping in your boat?"
"How does someone that stupid ever get that much money to begin with?"

Older people are more susceptible to online scammers?

In other news, water is wet.

Only thing more embarassing than having this happen to you would be being gullible and ignorant enough to vote democrat. 🤭😄

This wasn't even a fun read.

Not even good enough to wrap the leftovers in...

I know. It's depressing that every single one of those on that very long list of scammed people are considered sane enough to vote (and possess firearms).

Oh, dude, you know that is a sword that cuts both ways...

So many similar thing can be said of and have been said of the typical Harris voter. I have in many places.

Now, please stand up, I do not want this hanging over your head as if you were a Damocles of lesser renown:

I may have even inspired this inspiration.
If this is exemplar a typical anti-Trump voter,
then I am appalled by your daily posting antics.

So many people waiting for their steaks and diplomas

On a positive note, the owner of hawtmodelswithgunz dot com has promised to help them recover thanks to Wat's lifetime subscription

He's just not allowed to choose them.

It takes two to Tango, but I've seen it done with three...

Trump is selling off his stock in the sham social media Truth Social.

Shares in Donald Trump's social media company sank in morning trading on Wednesday, a day after the company filed paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission that could allow the president's trust to sell more than $2 billion of shares.

Quick, buy your shares today before the the price falls even further!

Trump Media is doing a stock buyback so Trump can cash out without completely crashing the stock

President Donald Trump’s media company plans to buy back up to $400 million of its stock, which have lost 46% of their value this year.

Trump Media has the typical financial performance of a Trump business — abysmal! 😆

The company said early this year that it lost $400.9 million in 2024 and its annual revenue declined 12% to $3.6 million.

JFC that’s awful.

this seems the appropriate thread for this, trump's latest grift—tacky gold-coloured phone pre-ordering:

Trump Organization scraps 'made in the USA' tag for its gold T1 smartphone

This month, the Trump Organization introduced the T1, a gold-colored device set to retail for $499. At the time of the announcement, a banner on the homepage of the company's website said: "Our MADE IN THE USA 'T1 Phone' is available for pre-order now.
The reference to where the phone will be produced has been completely removed. The change was first noted by The Verge.

The T1's webpage now says the phone has "American-Proud Design" and is "brought to life right here in the USA" — though it's unclear if that means it will actually be manufactured in America.

since trump doesn't have the supply chain essential to producing these phones in America, that was always a grift; even if he procured sites to 'make' them, a whole lot of the parts would still have to be imported, with China being the biggest supplier of those parts. But now the specs for the phone have also undergone some inexplicable changes: the touted 6.8-inch AMOLED screen has now shrunk to 6.25-inch AMOLED display.
A reference to it having 12 gigabytes of random access memory, or RAM, has also been dropped.

still, his spokesperson doesn't let any of that bother him, assuring the gullible that "T1 phones are proudly being made in America."

Funny how things come back around. TeaParty/magats complained how Obama gave phones away to the poor literally for free. Now they have a president who offers them a poorly made phone for a hefty fee.

When someone presenting herself as a deeply religious and beautiful young women initiated a cyber friendship with me, I did a Google search on the photograph she gave me, and I was led to the website of a pornographic actress. I played along with her until she asked me for $100. Then I confronted her with who her. photograph belonged to.

Someone initiated a cyber chat with me. A few months later asked me for 30,000.00 to fix a piece of equipment on an oil rig where he worked. And yes, I'll buy that Brooklyn Bridge you're selling also.

And what did Steve Bannon say to you after you found out he was trying to scam you out of your money?

On several occasions I have been told that I won a huge sum of money in a contest I never knew I had entered. All I had to do to get the money was to give the person who called me $350. I would say, "Thanks for me for telling me that. You have my permission to take the $350 from my prize."

On occasion I have received a letter from a winsome young lady from a third world country. She tells me that her family is rich, the dictator of her country has executed her husband, and is about to confiscate her family's fortune. If I give her my banking information she will deposit the money in my banking account, and let me keep half of it, after thanking me in other ways too.

Do not ever give money up front for a prize later on. The beautiful eighteen year old virgin who tells you she wants an older man to teach her how to make love, and needs money, is probably a man who is older than you are.

What about the people who believed Ronald Reagan when he said he would balance the budget by 1983?"
