Scam?

Hello!
I’m a comic writer exploring bold story rich themes and I’m developing a new comic series aimed at readers who enjoy sensual tension and strong narrative

This project focuses on character dynamics emotional build up and visually driven storytelling that keeps readers invested beyond just the surface theme My goal is to create a series that feels immersive teasing and memorable

I’m currently looking to connect with open minded readers and creators on Literotica who appreciate story first content If this sounds interesting i would love to share a small preview or discuss the idea

I received a second one from someone who at least referenced on of the works and seems to be legit (if new) so I'm not going to paste her message here.

Both received this morning. This is on top of the one that I received two days ago which I think lots of other people did. It almost feels like someone's linked Lit* somewhere where lots of artists look for leads.

Edit: after looking at the comic style of the second artist to contact me, I don't know... it feels quite similar to the first. Same host site for their example portfolios too. I'm suddenly suspicious that we've popped up on a list of "here's a bunch of saps to sell commissions to."

Will be interesting to see how many more land over the next week.

The first of mine landed on Friday, I am less dubious about her (joined last September, referenced one of my works).

The message you posted is identical to the second that I received. I have not yet seen their portfolio. The writer joined Lit three weeks ago.

In the last few days I have been approached, via the chat function, by two people expressing interest in turning my stories into comics. The first set alarm bells jingling, the second sounded the klaxon.

Has anybody else had a simiar experience?

Most likely a scam. I got one as an email feedback.

What? Like this? –

Hello Your story ******** has a unique and engaging concept i specialize in comic/webcomic adaptations and would love to create a free comic script sample for you if you find it aligns well with your vision we could proceed with a paid full adaptation to turn your story into a comic or webcomic
Thank you for considering

Ten days ago, but on another LitE-like site where I have a few stories.

If Allison Bechdel contacts me, I'm in.

Hello i just saw your post is it because of me ? because i also reached out to you? But i am not a bot or a scammer i am legit and i work honestly Yes i agree that in this field there are many ppl who are doing this work in the wrong way like copying real artists and stealing their portfolios even my own work has been stolen many times
However i have complete proof of my own work from A to Z from the initial sketches to the final files for every project that I include in my portfolio and for every client i work with

Your contact was the one which set my alarm bells jingling.

Two similar approaches in a few days, with a portfolio published on the same free platform and an immediate request to move the conversation away from Lit sets the klaxon off.

Ahhh i dont know who those two similar approaches were but I’d like to clarify myself i can’t say anything about anyone else but i can speak for myself i do legit work and i already have two people from Literotica I’m currently working with
I’m not asking for anything i just want you not to think negatively about me the rest is your choice whether you’d like to work with me or not

I get those exact spam messages on my FanFiction.net account. Nothing new.
lol 🥹 well this is exactly what I’m trying to say here when someone is genuinely working in a proper and professional way scammers often copy their approach and misuse it for the wrong reasons. For example if a real artist reaches out to people in a certain way dishonest individuals might imitate that same method to deceive others.
I’m not saying that I’m the only real one and everyone else is fake there are many genuine people out there but unfortunately when scammers copy their style it can damage their reputation as well. This happens everywhere in every field

They are not writers. They are not comic artists. They are spambots.

Report each message.
No, the one I received is not a spam bot, they sent me a sample of one of my stories and explained the process. Probably the same one a few others mentioned seemed legit.

You know people who aren't just shit posting?

Is IMNotABot doing all this for free, or soliciting money?
Hahahahaha lol :ROFLMAO: if you were trying to mock my message then i think you have never earned your own money through hard work not everything in life is free Maybe you are one of those ppl who are still living on their father earnings if i am right then okay i didn’t want to say all this but when you gave wrong information about me earlier and then tried to make fun of me here i had to say it i hope now you won’t say anything about me again

Just because everyone here gives their work away for free doesn't mean everyone does.

Some have a skill worth selling and some have money to pay for it.

Thinking there's a few who don't have either casting shade here for no reason other than to be a dink.

Absolutely I think Literotica should introduce a policy to fix this issue For example Literotica could approve only those users who verify their identity with an ID card this would reduce the number of scammers and also prevent minors from accessing the site
